Oh darned, missed B! Oh well, guess I'll go cruise the Comm. Board.

oh bummer!

We all have been posting at odd times lately, I'm sure we will be back to hyena schedule again after the kiddos go back to school. :goodvibes

Hubby metioned going to Target this morning-- yet here it is noon and we have yet to make that journey. I want to check another location and see what they have for clearance (75% off, soon to be 90%) . The only thing I found yesterday was one lone package of ghiradelli dark chocolate with mint filling.

Lots of decrations on the shelves and the more expensive trees- nothing I need/ want. Not that I had much time to go sleuthing for deals. Hubby was "done" with the day.. started picking at me and crabbing.. go home.. go home.. done shopping.. go home.. I was worried about a full blown temper tantrum in the aisle.

Sigh... fine.:sad2:

Got a receipt coupon for B1G1 to use at Starbuck's (inside Target). Think I will use that today... mmmm! :goodvibes

Hello!!! Well... Nothing exciting going on here. I went to the doctor on Wednesday... The doctor said I am doing REALLY WELL for being pregnant with twins. :rotfl2: Can you imagine what that means for people who arent doing really well??:scared1: Anyhoo... Babies are head down, and rapidly running out of space to move. So hopefully in the next three weeks we STAY head down. Then we can start planning for delivery.

OMG. Delivery. The doctor said we will be having babies in about 9 weeks. 9 weeks people. I am slowly accepting things... and today we cleaned out our room, and we are slowly rearranging the apartment making room for the babies. Actually... Frelan is rearranging... Im more of the director. :lmao: We found a couple of things left over from Mikalah... A monitor, and her mobile. We cleaned the bassinet up.

We went to the baby store, looked at all the pretties.. Trying to figure the best way to use what little space we have. Good thing they have travel swings now.. That will take up less space then a bigger swing. Of course.... I need to get off my butt and buy some stuff... Otherwise I am going to have some naked babies coming home from the hospital :lmao:

Soooo.... Im starting to realize that I havent actually bought a lot of baby stuff since I had Alex. I mean... a crib, mattress... the crib set. All of that I had left over, and I used it for Mikialah. Now.. having to repurchase it all. OUCH! Prices have gone up a tad. :lmao: Anyhoo... Back to my shopping. Im looking for a nice, neutral crib set.

Hey naked baby Staley lady.
Inquiring minds want to know...
What kinds of things do you need?

Blankets
crib sheets
clothes for the lil aliens (any sizes that you don't have enough in particular)

what what what??

And would you be happy if we found you gently used clothing, blankets, what have you to send?

Diapers and wipes -- any particular brands?
willing to try "off brands"?

I bought sis Walgreen's diapers-- big mistake, they were teeney tiny even on her lil shrimp. We ended up donating all of it. Darn because they were a hecka good deal at the time. (changed the packaging -- they were clearanced out)

I read on a deal board that typically the manufacturers change packaging in spring. Now is the time to keep an eye at Target for clearanced out packages. :thumbsup2
Oh and Target has started their baby dept mark down, most of it was 30% off.. keep in mind that sometimes MN (since corp is headquartered here) is one of the first to start mark downs. If you odn't see any markdowns in ytour area.. just wait.

Things I noticed:
Boppy with a light blue fleece cover
two types of bouncer seats
several types of front carriers (Bjorn was the priciest)
car seats (convertible type and booster)
safety items
bath items
blankets (fuzzy soft types)
crib sheets (not Gerber, plain colors)
organic cotton gerber onesies (5 pk)

line of clothes (Just One Year brand) that come in sets.. the girls were brown and pink colors of onesies and sleepers (2 to 3 on a cardboard header/ hanger). Can't remember boys clothes-- sail boats??

These adorable shoes (same line)

Sets of hat and booties - plain pink and yellow cotton Tshirt material

I think there was a stroller -- but not a double.
possibly cribs , possibly safety gates

I know in years past that people haunt the babay dept and scan everyday until the price drops. Not alway an option to visit Target daily if you have work and family obligations. Might as well pitch a tent in the parking lot for a few weeks :lmao: :lmao:

:lmao: Hey B! Honestly... I am going through the list of what we need... and it seems to get longer by the day. But it looks like most of the big ticket things I have found for decent prices through Walmart and Amazon.

Diapers... Im open to anything. I tried all brands with both kids, just to see what worked the best for them. With Alex it didnt latter, because he was so tiny... and skinny. Mikalah was WAY harder, and her chunky butt only fit in the super spendy ones. Figures..:rotfl2:

Used stuff? Doesnt bother me. I WELCOME it. :lmao:

The stuff I am most worried about is clothes. Isnt that dumb?? But I am having a better time remembering what I need as far as crib, car seats, strollers... But as far as onsies, sleepers, socks, and I dont know... Whatever else the hip stylin baby needs these days. :lmao: I am not joking when I say I have NO CLOTHES!! Oh well... Naked babies are my favorite. :rotfl2:

I tend to just wander through the baby sections all dazed and confused.. :hippie: GEEZ. I am not a first time mom!! I dont know why this whole thing has me so confounded! I feel like I have NO IDEA what a baby needs. Much less two of the little buggers!:lmao:

:lmao: Blame it on pregnancy fog.. later to be exchanged for sleep deprivation.

clothes-- no problem-- those are the easy things to find!

I have a lovely mix of sleep deprivation and pregnancy fog going right now. I dont think I sleep more then an hour at a time anymore. Once I get settled, I have to pee. Then I go through all the trouble of getting my fat butt out of bed..... and it is a struggle these days... I pee, come back to bed... By then Im wide awake. :rotfl2: Its a wonder I can put together a coherent sentence these days. :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

Sis and I marvel at what is ut there in babay stuff compared to what we had with our first boys.

swaddling devices
sleep positioners
bouncer chairs that vibrate
strollers that are lightweight and turn with ease
variety of bottles
choices in car seats
highchairs that adjust in height and reclie

Wonderous things..

It's overwhelming.

I was quite happy with my clunky stroller because it reclined. woohooooo....:woohoo:

Used an old fashioned bassinette- on wheels to push the youngest to keep away from his over eager to help big brother.

Mom sewed up a ton of receiving blankets from plain ole flannel, big enough to wrap a 5 year old. (becoming capes and parachutes as they grew, handy to tie toddlers into kitchen chairs while sitting on phone books -- who the heck needs a booster seat? )

Boppy? what's that? I grabbed a pillow from my bed- perfect!

I do remember freaking out in the last weeks with J.. he had no clothes. Poor naked baby. I haunted all the thrift stores and my mom sewed these odd komino gowns-- mom nobody uses those anymore!

:lmao: All the stuff out there is overwhelming! i think besides the basics, there are one or two things I am going to get because there will be two, that I wouldnt get if I was only having one. A Bumbo seat.... Ummm... oh! And a changing table. I have a boppy.... But they dont work if you tandem feed. They have one FOR tandem feeding... But I think Ican just use pillows. I dont see myself trying to tandem feed in public. :scared1: I would almost have to take my whole freaking shirt off!

hmmm, I recall that Target had Bumbo chairs on clearance one year. (unmarked) They got rid of certain colors, after awhile they pasted another UPC code over the one on the box. Brigning it back to full price-- tricky tricky!

You're welcome to the crib set I have (and the crib), but neutral it ain't! :rotfl:

Hang on, let me see if I can find a photo of it...

Ooooohhh... Tricky! I had never even heard of the things until I started looking at twin web sites.
