Another TSA story

The woman who protested the TSA groping at the Oklahoma City Airport (yes, the one who many of you are bashing) isn't some bimbo. She's a retired, disabled dentist. She's also a human being who happens to have a name...

Maybe so, but she is also an attention, umm, seeker... :rolleyes1

Good for her! I hope this kind of thing becomes a regular occurrence at airports. I don't feel any safer because of those stupid machines or the invasive pat downs. If someone wants to blow up a large group of people, they're going to find a way. Malls, concerts, Times Square on New Year's Eve - it can happen anywhere.

Tammy Banovac.

Here she is back the 1990s at her job before she became disabled (chronic seizures). The dog she had in her lap in the airport video/pictures is actually a service dog who can detect oncoming seizures.

I'd love to see how many of those criticizing her would dare appear in their skivies at age 52!!!

I see the vacant expression is nothing new for her. :lmao:

Yeah, a 52 year old female retired dentist in a wheelchair with a service dog is a terrorist. :rolleyes1

I'm so glad she was searched so thoroughly. Those people are dangerous.

Yeah, there aren't any large groups of people standing around at the airport bottlenecks - err security stations.

I'm sick of security theater.

I was thinking the same thing when I first heard about the new security program. If some sensor finds bomb material, and you have bomb material, you might as well light up right there and take out everyone in the security area. That would be a couple hundred people.

Or a mall at Christmas.

Or, if you want live TV coverage, the Super Bowl or World Series.

At first I was confused by a lot of the comments making fun of this lady because I didn't see any picture at all on the article. Turns out AdBlock was blocking it.

Anyway, I don't see what the big fuss is about making fun of the whole "Barbie" look (could that be related to her seizures... if so, nice one, guys ).

What's the big deal about the kid? It looks like he's with someone else.

I also don't see that big of a deal about the boy. You think a boy that age has never seen a grown woman in underwear before?

I wasn't making fun. I actually thought she was attractive (for any age, but especially 52!), and yes, the first thought that came to mind was Barbie doll.

I truly suspect that the appearance of this woman's demeanor is contributed to by any meds that she may be on due to her health condition.

IMHO, the TSA is a total and complete violation of our civil rights.

And, IMHO, if this woman was 'targeted' due to the fact that she was in a wheelchair and displayed an 'off' demeanor, which are both due to a disability... I would be contacting the huge organizations that protect Americans With Disabilities.

This whole TSA thing just sickens me.

Add me to those who feel like my civil rights are violated, because I am one of those people who will not be physically assaulted, or assaulted by radiation, by the US Govt.

As is your right. Frees up a seat for folks who feel differently. Freedom to choose - one of the things that makes America a great country. :thumbsup2
