Day 9, Friday, Sept 27

This is a day that will go down in infamy in our family. This is the day we purchased DVC!

Our appointment is at 9:00 am. We are fed pastries and coffee that I now suspect were laced with some sort of chemical that makes people especially susceptible to sales pitches.

Anyway, we walked out of there $12,000 poorer. But happy. I won't go into this any deeper but we still do not regret this purchase - of course we haven't taken advantage of it yet either!

Somewhat shell-shocked, we head over to MK and hit a couple favorites again...Buzz, HM, POC, Thunder Mt, and then take the train around the park for a final farewell tour.

We ride in the front of the monorail (another DH surprise) and then go to Epcot. We continue with our favorites...Spaceship Earth, the Land, France movie, watch the dancing fountains one final time, then make our way over to MGM for the grand finale....

Fantasmic!

What a wonderful, dream trip. I would not change a single thing about this trip! I loved every hot, humid, foot-killing moment. We had absolutely no real problems. If there were any little problems, I no longer recall them.

I cannot wait to return again and again and again. Thank you Walt Disney and everyone here on the boards for helping us make our dreams come true.

sounds great that you are now DVC owners and can return .....Your whole trip has been awesome.......thanks again

I read all your reports. It sounds like you two had a wonderful trip. I'm just dying to purchase DVC too. My house will be paid off in 5 years, so I should probably wait until then, but....;)

What a wonderful trip! Thanks so much for sharing it with us.

I have been toying with the idea of DVC for a year or two. So far, I have avoided the tour, but I do know that sooner or later we will probably take the plunge!

The tour is a real killer. :D

Welcome home!

We're new DVC members also --joining in March 2002. Had one brief 2 night stay at BCV in Oct and we are returning for a week there 1-20. Can't wait! DVC seems llke the best way to go.

Great (belated) reports. I really enjoyed reading them.

Since we can't afford DVC, I guess we'd better stay away from the tours! :p

I was wondering how the tour was going to turn out!
Congratulations! Maybe we'll see you at BCV sometime.

You lucky thing! I'd love to me a DVC member, so many perks and such nice resorts. *sigh* It's not going to happen though.

I read all of the installments of your trip report and enjoyed each one. Thanks for taking the time to post these for us, I know how much work a trip report can be.

I'm going to post links to your reports on the adults and solo travelers board. Hope you don't mind.

There is NOTHING BETTER than an adult WDW trip!

I am considering BCV in September - blow the the whole wad of points!

Congratulations on your purchase into DVC :) This was a great trip report and thanks for taking the time to do it :)
