We are going in Dec 08 this year. It iwll be two weeks before Christmas so before the mad rush. We will be 2 adults and boys 7 1/2 and 3 1/2. We did the dining plan last time before the changes in 2007 and it was great of sourse we didn't have to pay for the little one that trip.

We are debating this time. When I did number crunching it makes sense. We would be adding more TS than if we didn't do it.

My considerations for still doing it is that we do not go back to the hotels for mid-day breaks. I am thinking about making the TS meals for lunch so we have down time to eat and sit and relax for that poart of the day.

Would you think it would make sense in our case? Even w/o the plan we would be doing 3 TS and I figured the average cost for the CS would be $35 a meal. By the time we add in a few others the price didn't matter.

I'm interested in opinions too. I did a rough estimate of Dining Plan v. no -dininig plan with 3 TS meals, 1 $4 snack per person per day, and remainder CS with no dessert. My estimate came out to be only about $150 difference between DP and no DP. We are going in December again as well. I am on the fence about doing the DP. Interesting enough, the only problem we have had with DP is too much food and cuts into park time. Would love to hear other comments as well.

To make an honest comparison, you need to figure if you were paying OOP, would you choose to order everything that the DDP offers?

If you were paying OOP would you order a dessert for every member of your party at a CS location?

If you were paying OOP, would you order a dessert for every member of your party at a TS location?

Do you/would you ever split CS meals or TS meals, feeling that the portions are larger than you want to eat?

If you feel that you would order and eat all the food offered by the DDP, then you are probably better off with the plan than without it.

Also take a few moments to look at the lunch menus either here or at allearsnet.com and see what you think you'd order? How much are you planning to spend OOP for your family each day?
