Another tipping question

Hi there
I have worked out what to do with tipping when staying at WDW. What about other (non disney) hotels we stay at? Do we tip there also at the same rate? What if we only stay one night?

What about for rental cars - we are getting a car at LAX but we will get picked up and driven to the rental car premises. How much would we tip the driver?
