Another tipping Q, I didn't find on board

Please excuse my ignorance. First time cruiser here. As a family of 7 should each member leave a tip? It seems like it should be this way, but I'm not sure. Thanks for your responses!

If you are speaking of the recommended gratuities for your servers and room host, yes....the rate is multiplied by each member of your party. You may pay cash or charge it to your KTTWC if you have registered a credit card with guest services as noted on your cruise docs you will recieve.

Yes, a tip equivalent to the suggested amount or higher for excellent service should be left for each memeber of the party, including infants. Of course if you've received bad service, you should let management know immediately and then if nothing is done to rectify the problem, let your displeasure show in your tip. But most past cruisers have come back raving about the service.

Any thoughts on giving tips in Disney Dollars? I usually buy DD during the year to take w/me on our annual trip. I try to make sure I use it all before the trip is over since it doesn't do me any good at home. Using it as tip money on the way out the door might be a good way to do that. I wonder if CM's have any issues with getting tips that way.

If it were me I wouldn't. I'd deposit them on my account at guest services and then fill out the slips to charge against the deposit.

We had some leftover Disney Dollars, so I have them out as tips on a previous cruise. First, I checked with Guest Services to make sure that it wouldn't be a problem for the crew members to redeem them. I didn't even think about putting them on our account!

I would not tip in Disney dollars, you can't deposit them into your bank account or send them home to your family in another country. Use U.S. dollars only.
