i apologize for going on and on about these tickets, but this is my last step (i've paid for DD's resort including free dining, her airfare, new york segment etc.).

all that's left to do is figure out the ticket for her friend...
DD has an premium annual pass, but her friend (her best friend with whom she traveled to tokyo disney last september) has never been to the US, Florida or WDW...
so i'm trying to find the best ticket for her for WDW...

the 14 day ultimate looks best to me....(since they'll want unlimited access to all the parks as well as TL, BB and DQ)

has anyone actually bought this ticket? (the 14 day ultimate)
did you buy it from attraction-tickets-direct.co.uk?
or did you buy it from floridatix.co.uk?

what exactly do you get from them when you buy it?
a ticket?
or a voucher that you turn in for a ticket when you get to WDW?

how quickly did you receive the ticket?

were you satisfied with the service you received from the ticket company?

were there any problems?

any other tips/advice/words of caution/wisdom?

thanks in advance!!!

We buy the 14-day unlimited ticket through Virgin Holidays with our package *** with the 10% FC discount, it works out cheaper than with any other company.

Normally they give us a voucher that can be exchanged either at check-in/guest services of your hotel if you are staying on site, and they just add it to your room key. Otherwise, it can be handed in at Guest Services of one of the four main parks, NOT the waterparks. That's how Virgin hand them out. There are other companies that give you the actual paper ticket, but if you are staying on site, then a voucher is just as easy *** it goes straight on your room key.

I think the only thing to remember with the 14-day ticket is that if you are going for 14nights, you'll be there for 15days, which means you cannot go anywhere on your first night if you want to be able to do a park on your last day. We purposely catch the later Gatwick flight so we arrive late, sort out hotel room, sleep and away we go for the next 14 days, making the most of our last day and hopping between the parks.

The unlimited ticket certainly gives you freedom. You can hop from park to park, waterpark to theme park, unlimited entry to DQ (other tickets limit you to visiting the waterparks/DQ for like 5 visits or something), so you can pretty much come and go as you please. We have always had the unlimited tickets and never had a problem with them.

We bought the Ultimate Ticket - albeit the 21 day one - for our trip earlier this year. We had no problems at all with Attraction Tickets Direct, in fact when it came to pay the balance it was cheaper than we had been quoted when we booked them as the price had come down in the interim. We were particularly impressed with this as the company could have charged the original price and we would have been none the wiser.
We received the actual tickets in plenty of time before our trip, sent by recorded delivery.
We will be using the same company again this year as we were very happy with the level of service.

what kind of ticket is it? cardboard? the size of a credit card but cardboard?

does it work the same as the disney tickets? that is, do you have to put your fingers in that finger scanner thing when you enter the park?

does the ticket have your name on it?

do you need ID to use it? like a UK passport or drivers license?

it sounds like a really great deal to me.

Firstly my apologies. It wasn't AttractionTickets Direct that we got ours from. It was
http://www.orlando-ticket-deals.co.uk/index.html
We have used them for 2 trips now and they have always been the cheapest - even with virgins 10% off.
The tickets are the real thing, card and credit card sized that fit nicely into the wallet. There is a space on the back to sign them, and we did have our finger prints scanned most of the time we visited the parks.
We have never been asked for ID during any visit.

Hi!
Another vote for ATD here they were very good, cheapest and we got our tickets in a timely fashion. We had the 21day ultimate pass.

The only problem that we encountered though was that we should have written our names on our tickets and used the same one every time, we were fingerprinted and got our tickets mixed up, sometimes the CM's were funny about letting us in to the parks so I would recommend signing your ticket and sticking to using the same one all the time!

i'll definitely have her sign it....
but she and my daughter won't mix up - one will have this ticket and the other the annual pass..

I get my tickets for Attraction tickets direct and they are very good. When we bought them last year we got an actual ticket not an e-ticket)about the size of a credit card which we had to sign and do the fingerprint thing with. However I would just check on other websites such as themeparkticketsdirect.com as they seem to be slightly less and attraction tickets will price match. There isn't much in it but every little help :)

thanks! i just looked - it's 162 there (vs 164 at ATD)...
i'll see if ATD will match the price...
i'm about to buy so hopefully it will all work out..
i'll let you know how it goes...

After reading posts on here I bought through Attraction tickets, they priced match another companys price and were very quick at sending actual tickets and not vouchers, I would certainly use them again. :thumbsup2

Does anyone know if you can exchange the virgin 14 day ultimate voucher at the Dolphin resort. I appreciate it is not a real disney hotel but you still get the same perks except for charging to your room?

If not I guess I'll just have to pitch up to the park early and get the ticket there!
