Another Ticket Question, appreciate advice

Appreciate your help in making this decision...

We will be staying at HRH Frid May 23 (arriving mid afternoon) through Wed 5/28 (leaving late afternoon). I've narrowed it down to getting a 4 day park to park pass from Undercover Tourist (which would mean just chilling on Friday and pool hopping or something similar on one other day) or getting power passes and having flexibility to go each day and maybe getting another trip in for the next year, knowing our opportunity may be reduced by black out dates with that pass. The price difference for the 3 of us is about $130 for an added two days and perhaps another x number of days if we did another trip and maximized the expense. (I'm using pre price change prices here b/c i did the math before the hike!) If I buy the power pass now, does the year start now or when I first use it in May? If I want to save the shipping charges, can I do Will Call if I order it now, am I too far out? Would it be worth getting one of the next level passes for all the discounts? (would I expect to save $80 or so over 6 days on meals and stuff, all on site)

OP - A PAP could possibly save you $ on your hotel room. My husband & I switched last year to running one PAP & one power pass (which we were able to buy via the PAP 10% ticket discount at the park gate).

Two trips will certainly give you the most bang for your buck, enjoy!

A Preferred AP will get you discounts on food, merchandise, multi-day park tickets, and hotel rooms.

A Power Pass will get you discounts on multi-day tickets and hotel rooms(contrary to what the website says but confirmed by the annual pass office).

Neither of those passes will get you a discount on another AP.

Yes, and they occasionally make them in your favor. I took my son for a weekend trip 3 years ago and bought him a Preferred AP and the lady somehow gave me a 10% discount on it. When we all went back together and my daughter was with me they didn't. When I told them about the previous one they said it was not supposed to have been done that way.

It doesn't say anything on the AP perks about getting discounts on other APs. It just says for multi-day tickets. I find that sometimes you get nice little perks from Guest Services!

I've had a Preferred annual pass for several years now. I knew I could get my family a discount on multiday passes (and have done so), so when we bought them Power passes this past May I specifically asked if I could get a discount on them with my Preferred Pass. I was told no, that the discount was only for multiday passes. We paid full price for their two Power passes, even though I had my Preferred pass in my hand showing it to them. The CM I was talking to did say he would check though, which he did, then came back and said no, the discount was only for multiday passes, not another type of AP.
