I have ds7, dd4, dd1.5. I had planned to take dd1.5 stroller with us and rent a double for the other two. DS7 will walk, but know he will get tired and not want to walk anymore. Today it occured to me that maybe I should get a double stroller for dd4 and dd1.5 and only use the single stroller for ds7.
Any thoughts? My concern is getting the double stroller on/off monorail, etc.

Not sure how many days you will be using them there, but be prepared to pay like $16+per day for a double. You may be better off getting a double umbrella to take with you, I think they can fit on the monorail.... no matter what size you get, it will have to fold up for the bus.

We're going in Oct. and I'm trying to figure out the best stroller option for my 4 yr old and 8 mo. old sons. My 4 yr old is too big for the tandem double strollers, but I heard that the side by side strollers are harder to maneuver. I've heard about a sit-n-stand stroller that may work, by Baby Trend, but they don't make it anymore and they're a lot of $$ on ebay.

I'd love to hear if anyone else has an answer to this one...

Thanks,
Linda

i think i have probably owned one of every type of stroller out there, and IMHO, the side by side double strollers are SO MUCH EASIER to manuver than the tandems! and forget about the sit and stand! i couldn't stand this one!! side by sides are much easier to push uphill and around turns. the only downside is that some doorways can be tricky. but other than that, i have never had any complaints! i too think a side by side umbrella stroller might be the best option if you are buying it just for the disney trip. why spend a ton of money on anything else. plus it is lightweight which will be a big plus getting on and off buses.

have fun!

My oldest son has a bad knee, so he used a stroller at Disney until he was 7. I also have twins who are 2 years younger. When at Disney, I brought my own side-by-side stroller and single stroller. I forget the brand, but they were both the same brand, and they were an umbrella-type stroller, but a little bit better quality. I looked for the one with the highest weight rating because of my older son. Overall, I think the side-by-side are much easier to manuever. My not so small twin boys rode in that stroller until there were six. Unless your daughter is huge, she should be okay in a decent quality umbrella type stroller. Also, the side by side types will lay down flat on both sides for nap time. All of the tandems that I found did not lay as flat. I also found clips that would join the two stroller s together, so that I could handle all of them when I needed to.
