I'm 90% sure we're just going to rent a double stroller at WDW for my daughters who will be 5 and almost 3 for our trip in Feb. But every once in a while, I have a moment of panic and think we should bring one (which means buying a new one). Part of me thinks it's silly to buy an expensive stroller just for WDW, but we're thinking about trying for No. 3, so it would probably get some use in the future. Plus, we're already expecting to pay about $100 for the rental.

So, my main question is, who actually has a stroller that the use and love for two kids totaling 85+ pounds? Maclaren has a couple models with 100-lb. limits, but I'm just wondering if they're still functional at that point. My kids are big: DD4 is 47 in. and 52 lbs., DD2 is 38 in. and 34 lbs. My Graco double has been worthless for the last 18 months, because my older DD was just too big.

I can't find Maclarens in a local store, and I'd hate to order one without knowing it can handle my adorable load. :rotfl2:

I bought a Joovy caboose just for our week at disney. My 5 year old and my 3 year old rode all day. The stroller has a seat in the back so the 5 year old could walk or ride. She mostly rode. Stroller is a little heavy but it turns like a dream. My husband said it was the best investment we made for the trip. We bought skiphop saddle bags that went on the sides great for the autograph books.

Well here is what I'm planning on doing...I've got dd4 and dd9mos. Since dd4 doesn't really need a stroller except when we're at the Mall or someplace like the zoo or Disney I hate to get a double. So I've been looking at the Maclaren Quest Mod. at www.albeebaby.com that they have on sale/clearance for $130. I'm planning on getting two and then when it's just me and the girls at the mall I can use the clips that attatch them together like a double. This way when dd4 outgrows a stroller in another year or two I can sell the one and then I'll still have the other one for dd9mos.

It's kind on an expensive option, but I tested out the Maclaren with dd4 and it was so easy to push her around. Plus they can hold up to 55lbs, and she's only about 37lbs right now.

Anyway, just a thought.
