I currently have a standard 2 bd booked. After reading another thread I am considering trying to change to a BW view (if available) I was concerned with the noise level at nght. I will do anything to avoid waking my children (said from a woman on the comp at 4 am with a baby on her lap). So, is the noise really loud from the bw or should I try to switch my ressie. Thanks and I hope everyone has a a great holiday season

I have never been distrubed from any noise at all while staying in a boardwalk view villa. Once the balcony doors are closed you really do not hear anything. Good luck with getting a boardwalk view villa!

We found it to be noisy - but the kids were so tired that they slept fine. It only bugged my husband and I two nights out of seven.

I think it depends on a lot of things:

1. We were on a low floor - so we were closer to the noise

2. We were right above the Screen Door. I think some rooms are more noise prone - the ones by the games with the bells, the ones by the boat dock. However, I remain unconvinced that being above Jellyrolls would have been any quieter.

3. We went to bed early. The kids at 8:30 (which means we had loud fireworks to deal with), hubby and I before 10:00. If you are strolling in at Midnight, you might not notice any noise.

4.The weather was lovely and the Boardwalk was pretty busy. We were there during baseball playoffs, so ESPN was always packed, and people who couldn't get in were strolling the Boardwalk, going to Big River or Jellyrolls.

5. We live out in a quiet suburb at home. We used to live in the city and I wouldn't have noticed noise had we still lived someplace where people walked under our window at all hours and the occational siren would go by. Now we are more likely to be awaken by the loud deer.

Other people say they don't notice any noise at all. I wouldn't book it again unless I wanted to impress company (which is why we booked it this time - my MIL came along).

We've had a Boardwalk view several times, varying floors and areas. Once the doors are shut, we never heard a thing - and DH is a VERY light sleeper.
