Another split stay question - need expert to help

First timer here, never been to WDW in my life. OK, I am playing with the numbers and can do a split stay with : two days in a MOD starting 6/1(checking out on deadline 6/3) and checking in to a deluxe on 6/3 (for the 750 gift card just have to check in by 6/3) and staying 5 more days to get the gift card. This way will be about the same price as if I do the 35 % discount for the MOD the whole time w/ dining instead of using gc for food this way (I know some will have to come out of pocket too).

My BIG question - If I purchase 7 day tickets on the 6/3 gc package, can I start to use them on 6/1 when I arrive at the MOD? (don't know if they mail them to me once paid for?) Otherwise I don't think this grand plan will work. I am trying to do it this way 1. so I can go later and avoid memorial day weekend crowds and use that weekend to pack and 2. to avoid moving from the deluxe to the mod. Gotta move up, not down!!

Unfortunately, the package with the tickets has to come first. You can not get the tickets before hand.

Is there any way you can flip your trip? Start in the deluxe for 5 nights, then do room only at the mod for the last 2 nights. You can get the 7 day tickets on the first half, and then have the $750 gc to pay for any meals and the remainder of your room only for the second half of your trip.

I can't flip it b/c I was trying to add a couple of prior days to the 5 day gc offer which you can use as long as you check in by 6/3, whereas the gen public room only offer is only for days prior to 6/3. I think I may go ahead w/ just checking in on 6/3, and maybe adding one more deluxe but discounted day on 6/2 w/ room only and enjoy the resort w/o park tickets since that will be our first day.

SURE wish I could use those tickets early though, then I would add two resort and park days starting 6/1 .

Ah... I didn't even look at that. I hope you get lucky & they come out with a room only for summer.... then you could add days to the end of your trip instead. Be watching when the current winter/spring special ends.
