Another snow day today! How about you?

Well it's now going to be a four day weekend here in Massachusetts. Kids are still sleeping and don't even know they have a snow day yet.

Love snow days, but also like school getting out earlier in June.

Sounds like a nasty day out there....snow, ice and then rain. Good day to watch movies and do some baking.

Anyone else get an "extra" day today?

We have an "ice" day here in Virginia. The school system gave the kids 1/2 day Thursday, all day Friday as teacher workdays, then Monday MLK day, now Tuesday --we could of used our time wisely and gone on a Disney cruise!

yes we have another snow day here. we got about 2 inches of snow and its been freezing raining for a couple of hours now. this is our last snow day and its only january

Guess we are lucky then. We had our first snow day last Wednesday when we got buried. Thursday was a two hour delay. School Friday and now four days off in a row.

I do enjoy it, but hope this is our last one since I don't want school to go to July!

We have a 90 minute delay today where I teach. We had a snow day last week so we had school yesterday to make up for it.

DH and I are in Miami for a few months dealing with family issues so it's sunny and beautiful this morning. The temps should be in the mid/high 70's today.

It did rain yesterday......

Can't say that I'm missing cold Kentucky right now

Yep, another snow day here. We had Wed & Thurs snow days last week, went to school on Friday, had yesterday's holiday off and another snow day today. AAARRRRGGHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!


Sorry.....thing is, I drive school bus and DO NOT get paid when we get snow days. Plus we get paid every 2 weeks and last weeks paycheck was only for 1 week (due to Christmas break) and now I'm looking at another 1 week check next week!!!!!!!!! I am sooooo over this. Plus the boys are getting on each others nerves which is getting on my nerves.

With all that said, I do enjoy staying home so I can either catch up on housework, laundry or scrapbooking.

We have some sleety yuck out there right now, but they didn't cancel school here.

Thank God. I knew last night they were going to do it, but the decision wasn't made until 4:40am today...temps were colder than predicted(still below freezing here), the sleet & freezing rain started last evening maybe about 6 or 7 and continued off and on all night. Lots of accidents around this morning plus slow traffic even out on the Interstates (roadways weren't treated because the temps were supposed to mostly stay above freezing.)

Funny thing...DD said last night she was hoping school was called off...then she could get *all* her work done. And MLK Day wasn't a real holiday for her...she worked on homework from before 11am until after 6pm.

*sigh* We've had so much snow, there's no longer room to clear it. We're hitting records and have spent the week in a deep freeze of -30, but still no snow days for us Canadians.

Nope thank goodness however it looks like we might have one on Thurs. They are calling for 6 inches of snow.
