Another security question / Cabana bay

Sorry if this has been asked already!
We will be staying at Cabana Bay in about 2 week. I am wondering if we take the shuttle bus, I know it empties into the parking garage hub. Is it close enough to by pass most of the security line? I thought I had read somewhere that the metal detector's had been moved further back. Just wondering if someone can confirm this. We are driving and have the preferred annual pass so I may just valet park if I see its too crazy.

Security was right at the top of the stairs when you get off the shuttle when we were there in December.

When you get off the Cabana Bay bus, as stated you are very close to the security check point. You will have to go through. The process of moving you though the metal detectors and checks is pretty quick and painless. The security guards even joked with a member of my party.

They were very efficient about moving a large group through at least when i was there

Lots of bad reports this week about lines at security with the new metal detectors. I would consider walking to RPR and taking the boat from there to avoid the lines.
