was planned today.

At my school.

Basically, what we've figured out happened is that a boy was arrested last night. When he was questioned he said "if I don't get them, my friends will" There were five people involved, I know that four were found. I"m not sure about the last one.

NO ONE was harmed.
thank god.

All day, there were about 30 policemen at my school, searching random students. I was not searched.

I've heard people saying that the first arrested person said he wanted to "out do the VTech guy."

Today, my school had a planned assembly (kindof like a pep rally)
the entire school would've been together. So many students could have died. It was, however, cancelled.

Many students left. There was an hours waiting line to check out. about 30 minutes to use the phone.

It was honestly the only time I've ever felt unsafe in my school. I walked down the halls looking at people thinking "is it them?"

Has anything like this happened at your school?

Oh, my, god. That's horrible. I'm glad that everyone's okay, and the almost everyone was caught.

Nothing like this has ever happened at my school, but last year we had a serious bomb threat that kept us out of the building for two hours.

The way my high school is set up that on the second floor all of the grades' locker areas are in one area and then the faculty room and 2 bathrooms. In between classes and before break and lunch ALL of the students and faculty would be in that area at one time.
A boy was caught building a bomb in the boy's bathroom and it was set to go off before break. One of our teachers went to MIT and used to work for NASA and she said it would have gone off except one wire was in the wrong place.

After Columbine a girl made a death list and stupidly left it on one of the computers.

:scared1: OMG! What is the world coming too!? Trying to out do the VA Tech gunman, that is just sick!

I just heard that a gunman has taken over a NASA building in Houston.

Something like that happened at my old school. A guy was caught with a gun in his binder. His friends and he had planned to shoot a whole bunch of people at the school that day. Dude was an outcast, nobody liked him, he wanted revenge. So he got some other outcasts and planned it all out.

He eventually gave up who was the other 3 kids who had guns in the school.

They put everyone in the gym. Yes in it. To tell us about it, that was before the other 3 were caught. So I guess it would have been a perfect time.

My mom came and got me, I didn't even have to call her.

Woah. That's never happened at mine, but we get at least 3 lockdowns a month for drug searches. it gets really annoying after a while.

There used to be a girl named Catherine who went to my school. She's in high school now, so I'll probably see her again next year.
She had no friends, I'm not joking. She sat in a corner at lunch outside and read. The entire time. If you asked her if she wanted to hang out with you, she might have frowned at you and kept on reading, or just ignored you. She dressed like a boy. Some kids, who were two years older than me (this was like in grade six for me, which was like... 2-3 years ago) and they would make fun of her. They'd even take pictures of them making fun of her. Those kids made fun of people for fun though.

Apparently she was planning on bringing a gun to school. Apparently someone found her 'hit list' or 'hate list' at school. I don't know what happened after that, though.

Oh God, Sparx...that's awful! You know, I would have been in that line to leave school. The school systems don't feel safe to me anymore.

When I was sophomore, there was this really quiet kid who really had no friends because he was just *that* weird. He would draw pictures of dead animals (namely birds) and would tell students to worship Satan. He wrote these disturbing stories and Lord knows what else.

One day, a kid went to the office complaining that this same kid (I'll call him "Loner") told him that he was making a hit list and he was on it. Our vice principal ignored it as nothing. Then, Loner brought in bullets to school with names attached to each one. He showed some kids the bullets and the kids went to the office. Again, they did nothing about it. Then, Loner brought in illegal weapons and a knife. He hid them well because when kids went to complain AGAIN, they finally decided to search Loner's locker. After finding nothing, they told the kids to forget and stop patronizing Loner saying it only makes him feel bad. Shortly after, the kid brought a gun to school and said that was going to use the bullets and kill the kids on his hit list. He went psycho in a class my sister was in and my sister said she was terrified. Loner ran out of the room after that. The kid was suspended for a day. He returned to school the day after. NO ONE felt safe. Parents were calling into the school asking about it and some kids refused to come to school. My mom called the vice principal and asked why the kid was able to come to school after bringing a gun in and threatening students. He said, "He's just a disturbed student, don't worry about it". My mom said, "That is exactly my concern". Nothing was done still...after nearly every parent of the student body called in. The followed day, the students conducted a "sit-in" and everyone gathered in the lobby. They refused to leave until something was done about this kid because the threats kept coming.

Here is how weak our class is. The VP (vice principal) said anyone who continues to stay here and not go to class will receive a suspension. Half of them left. The other half stayed and all got suspended. The leaders (who were four seniors at the time) went in and talked to the principal and vp and nothing was done still. They told the students not to worry about it.

The next day, the kid brings in a loaded gun and points it at students. The police came in surrounded the school, cuffed him and none of us have seen him again. He had to leave the town. Needless to say, our VP was forced to leave that year or risk being fired because of the way this situation was handled...and this wasn't the only poorly conducted situation this guy has done.

The next I heard of Loner was when I was in Driver's Ed. Our Driving teacher said Loner was a student taking his "On-Roads" and our teacher said he was never so afraid in the car before. Apparently Loner was saying things like, "do you think this car can float? Wanna test it? Wanna go for a swim?" Our teacher, who is simply too much lol said, "No, I don't want to go for a swim...I didn't bring my swimmies" rofl.

Isn't it awful that we are forced to feel unsafe in school buildings where it's supposed to be considered safe? I hate to see where this society is headed. One day our entire world will be about anarcy and war. :sad2:

That's so terrible! It must have been a traumatic experience, I'm sorry you had to go through that, and I'm glad no one was harmed.

We have some kid in our school who is very quiet and keeps to himself, but he didn't get teased a lot in middle school, and now that we're in high school, he totally doesn't. Last year he made a hate list or whatever it's called, and it was pretty scary. I don't think he got in really big trouble. But he's just all around a creepy kid, and I feel weird when I'm around him. :confused3

Everyone was a little on edge today, it being the Columbine anniversary. Thankfully there were no threats (that I know of), so nothing happened.

Last year a boy was going to take a gun to a performance of a play where a girl gets shot, and he was going to shoot and kill one of my good friends boyfriend because he was in love with her. He didn't get the chance to do that, because he decided to stab his cousin instead. Whenever ANYONE would file a complaint to the police at our school, they would ignore it.
He's now in a mental hospital or something. I hope he burns.

No boyfriend should have to go what I just went through. Going through the realization that his girlfriend could be dead right now.

Love you Shelby.

Oh Shelby thank goodness your all right!

And no one got hurt. That's very good.

Wow. Out-do the VTech guy?

One of my friends, Eddie, his brother goes there.
He didn't feel well on that day so he decided not to go to class.
Imagine if he didn't!

That's horrible but I'm very happy everyone is safe.
:sad2::sad2::sad2::sad2:

Well I just heard something about my old school today.

Somebody grafitied "Cho will rise again, but more will die" all over the building. My friend just got out of the school because they made everyone stay late so they could figure out who did it.

People are seriously messed up. Just now, everyone is realizing it.

I have a pretty good idea of who did it.

Wel im in the middle school which is right across from my high school. You see, there was this lunatic that put chemicals in some soap & lit it on fire. Luckily a teacher put it out. Let me tell ya, i was in gym which is where all the high schoolers went, it as hot in there. So i was listening to my dumb gym teachers corny jokes and them arguing how their handsomer than each other

When you hear stuff like what Cho was saying in his little video (Jesus Christ, blah blah blah) you think 'You believes this bull?'
But sadly enough, there are people out there who would act on some guys word.

"before my time" we had a shooting at my school. my drama teacher still remembers holding the door shut to prevent the shooter from getting in. a VP died that day protecting students. but i didnt go through that, thank god.

i have a friend of mine who fits..."right in to that expected category of school shooters". he's manic depressive. one word sets him off. anything. he gets made fun of because he's..well..he adores wicked, frequently dances and sings in the hall, and obsesses..over everything. you couldnt even playfully tease him without him sitting in the corner, holding his head, and rocking back and forth. hes scared me a couple of time by turning on me and saying something unexpected. apparently, he's even "in love" with me, and did ask me to be his girlfriend. i had to turn him down, not only because i dont like him like that, but because i dont desire a boyfriend right now in the first place. since then, he's been clinging to a close friend of mine who resembles me with hair and eye color. a friend of mine made a joke on wednesday that if there were ever to be a shooting at our school, itd be done by him. he hasn't been to school in two days.

freshman kids have been calling in to their highschools and middleschools althroughout our county this week, threatening shootings worse than vtech and columbine. all were arrested and expelled, even if their arguments were "it was just a joke."

im all for dark humor. but that is disgusting.
