Another Sat Nav Question!!!

Hi All,

We have booked a virgin package for June 2010 - we are collecting our car the day after arrival from the Buena Vista Palace Hotel - apparently we cannot hire a sat nav thru virgin package if not collecting car from the airport?!!! - what would you guys recommend - def need one as first time driving out there!

If you're there for a week or more, it's definitely cheaper to buy one here before you go. If you don't need it when you get home, you can sell it on.
I know people who have bought a second hand one before they went and sold it on again when they got home. The biggest cost was £10, even after ebay selling fees.

Just make sure you have the most up to date maps loaded.

as above - we have brought ours and taking it with us. This has worked our cheaper in the long run

Another poster (wayneg) posted a day or two ago that Walmart have the tomtom one available over there for $99. I would just collect the car and get directions to the nearest store and pick one up.

As stoneyloon said, you can stick it on rebay when you get back and recoup some of your cost

don't worry about driving its easy, just relax when you get car and check that your sure with everything before you set off, ie indicators,lights ,mirror adjusted ect.As your not picking up from hotel you will be fine, even DW drives over there and she dosnt go on motorways over here as she finds it so easy over there.again if getting one buy one over here or there its cheaper
