Another sandel question-Teva Terra-FI 2

Has any one tried the Teva Terra-Fi 2? It looks to be very sturdy and well made but im wondering if it would be comfortable for all day trip to the parks. I tried the Pretty Rugged Nylon type the other day in the store but wasnt sure if it would rubb blisters or not. If anyone has tried this sandel can your give me your opinion! Oh and im a big girl and need lots of support in a shoe so keep that in mind.

The main problem I've found with Tevas is the loop that they use to join all the straps at the side of the ankle wears a blister pretty quickly on my feet. I've tried several different pairs and had the same issue with every one.

The only other problem I've had is that their arch tends to be *really* high, so I get bruises on my arches.

I bought a pair of Margaritaville flip-flops and haven't had a problem since.

I am normally a very devoted Birkenstocks girl...love them love them love them...but I decided that I would get the strappy non sport sandal looking Tevas...very cute, very squishy comfy foot bed, loved the look of them...but the dang ring that connects the straps on top of my feet rubbed a blister in less than an hour!!! NEVER AGAIN will I stray from my beloved Birks! I have never EVER gotten a blister from birks, straight out of the box, not one problem. Birks are totally supportive to the foot, my feet never hurt when I wear them on long treks through Manhattan...hours of walking, everyone is complainging...NOT ME!!! The buckles on most styles let you totally customize your fit. These shoes are worth the price and also, you can order them from Germany where they are made and even with $15 shipping it's STILL less than what you pay here in the states (under $100 including shipping!!!) and you have so many more choices!!! It takes about two weeks for them to get you...go to www.baumhouse.com it's a great site and they great to work with!

Don't torture yourself with Tevas any longer!!! Go Birkenstock!!!!

I now wear Eccos or Rockports if I'm not in my beloved flip flops. My Ecco sandals and Ecco tennis shoes are probably the *most* comfortable shoes I have ever worn.

I just bought a pair of Teva Dozers, which look like a cross between a sneaker and a sandal, and am in the process of breaking them in. They are great! Of course, my feet haven't done the wear and tear of walking miles and standing in lines yet but this Teva style doesn't have any rings, etc. They are made so similar to sneakers and are very lightweight.

Thanks for the advice guys, its a huge help. I have a pair of Bierenstocks and I love them but just wanted something with a little more cushion in the sole and also thats waterproof. How about this one with no rings at all?

Those look SOOO comfy!!! I bet they'll be great! I do like Tevas, they are great water sport shoes and very squishy and nice to wear. My heart is with birks just cuz somewhere in my family tree there was a hippie... My family HATES them and thinks they are so ugly, and an evil boy I used to date called them "Jesus Creepers"...weirdo...but I think they are fantastic and I am wearing a fancy pair under my wedding dress!!! AND I got a pair with black patent leather straps so I can wear them with my little black dresses too!!! I am a very loyal soul!!!

good choice with the Tevas though, they look perfect!

I will take this opportunity to point out that Birkenstocks are available in water proof materials, with straps and also very sturdy flip flops that have holes in the souls to drain water so you don't get blisters...I think that is very thoughtful of Birkenstocks...don't you?

Those look really comfortable (make sure the arch isn't too harsh) but I will warn on one thing. I've had neoprene sandals like this and if your feet are anything like mine they will wind up *stinking.* They won't stink on this trip, but the more you wear them the more they will smell. That neoprene sits up against your feet and gets ranker and ranker. I have a pair of Ecco sandals that I can only wear on occasion because if I wear them more than 3-4 hours the old stench comes up and they are *foul.*

Then again, your feet might not sweat like mine do. My feet hate any kind of covering.

have any of you heard of Chacos? they look like Tevas but they are really cute. I need something to separate by big toe and they have some that have a toe strap. I like my birks and my teva flip flops but wanted something unique. I have a shoe thing Oh yeah i saw chacos at zappos.

I have two styles of Tevas. I bought my first pair (similar to the Hurricane) in a retail outlet (Shoe Station). Later I discovered there were many other Teva styles when I saw this particular one in a catalogue, and these have become, by far, my favorite—the Teva Ventura Cork:

These are the more comfortable of the two styles for me, and I like that they are not as casual. The Hurricane style is great for getting wet (the Ventura uses mostly suede). I wore the Hrricanes in May 2004 and the Ventura in Feb 2005. My feet did not hurt (as much) at the end of the day wearing the Venturas. I have since bought a second pair in a different color.

I am a Pooh-shaped "big girl" and I realize no shoe is going to allow me to tour the parks for hours on end without repercussions, but I won't be leaving home without my Venturas when we go to WDW later this year!

These are AWESOME sandals. I have these and the original Terra-Fi's. Never a blister, sore spot, etc. They hold up like none other, dry very fast, and have a nice antibacterial coating. I highly recommend these!

I have both the pretty rugged nylons and the terri fi's. Both are comfortable but I agree with the PP that the arch in the terri fi's are very high. I LOVE the pretty rugged and would chose those anyday even though the ring isn't padded. I have never had a problem with the ring rubbing on my ankle but it seems that many others have. Has anyone tried to put Body Glide over that area prior to wearing them?

I totally agree, but I buy most of my Birks at the outlet in Orlando or else the one in Gilroy, Ca. I've worn mine all over London too.

And I have some really, really cute Birks too. They don't all look like those suede hippie shoes from the 60s.
