Another sand bottom pool?

I hate sand bottom pools- they give me rashes in all sorts of places- so I am glad to hear that's just a rumor!

I would be surprised, in any case. To do a sand bottom would require digging it up. You don't just dump the sand on existing concrete pool and call it sand bottom. The pour changes as well as all filtration.

That is not a 3 month refurb.

It wouldn't surprise me if they are changing the filtration system (possibly like the Poly Oasis), but that can be done pretty easily in that time span. But not to the extent you have to change it to add sand.

Someone posted this rumor a few days ago under one of WDWNT’s Twitter posts. That’s where they got the info. We’ll see. I know the color of the pool was an important detail to match the watering holes...or something like that.

The original color was a sort of green for a natural look, but they changed it to match all the other WDW pools - basic white plaster (which looks blue) several years ago, the theory at the time of the change was that it was easier for the lifeguards to see in the basic pool color.
