Why is Prince Edward's daughter (who served as flower girl in the wedding) Lady Louise Windsor? Why isn't she a princess like Beatrice and Eugenie?

Letters patent issued in 1917 (and still remaining in force today) assign a princely status and the style of Royal Highness to all male-line grandchildren of a monarch. Louise is thus entitled to all of these, and as such would be referred to as Her Royal Highness Princess Louise of Wessex.[10] However, when her parents married, the Queen, via a Buckingham Palace press release, announced that (in hopes of avoiding some of the burdens associated with royal titles) their children would be styled as the children of an Earl rather than as Princes or Princesses. Thus, Court communications never refer to her in terms of a Princess of the United Kingdom, but simply as The Lady Louise Windsor. This practice does not in any way affect her legal right. Thus, she remains legally HRH Princess Louise of Wessex.
Google is your friendand if I'm reading and understanding it correctly, she IS a Princess but her parents have made the choice for her to use the title of Lady instead. When she is older, she can choose for herself to use the title of Princess.
She isn't Andew's daughter. She is Edward's daughter.
First, go reread my OP because I didn't say Lady Louise was Andrew's daughter. I clearly stated she was Edward's daughter.
Second, Edward, like Andrew and Charles (who are Edward's brothers if you weren't aware), is an immediate royal. Shouldn't/wouldn't his daughter be called princess like her first cousins (Andrew's daughters) Beatrice and Eugenie?
Therefore why isn't Louise called Princess? Everyone in the media calls her Lady. People Magazine lists her as Lady Louise, all the tv shows are calling her Lady Louise. Nobody is calling her princess.
Thank you! Much appreciated! Good to know that the royal family seems to be less hung up on titles. It seemed that, at one time, they were very stringent with titles (or am I mistaken?).
Princess Anne decided her children would not be burdened with titles so they are simply Peter & Zara Phillips.
Not technically correct. The titles pass through the paternal line. Since Mark Phillips has no title (he refused one that was offered to him when they wed), his children also have none.Princess Anne decided her children would not be burdened with titles so they are simply Peter & Zara Phillips.
