Another Resale Question.....

We killed 3 birds with one stone & purchased SSR from Disney, waitlisted for BWV points (and got them) through Disney & are purchasing a tiny resale via TTS....

Well, everything has gone amazingly well so far, but here's my questions....

With our resale, we fedexed our closing papers and final check on Monday & they received it yesterday.....What happens now? Will they call to let me know that we've closed or will they send something?

With the resale, we had to fill out a paper with our names and SS numbers....When Disney does get the info from the closing company, will our new resale points automatically be associated with our current account info, or will I have to give a different membership number....

You will normally be in the DVC database within a week of your resale closing. You will eventually get membership cards and other information from DVC, but that may take several weeks. Once you know closing has occurred, call DVC and check on your resale. Once you're in the computer you can begin making reservations. You are already in the computer and able to make reservations for the two purchases directly thru DVC.

Since your SSR and BWV purchases were both thru DVC, they will probably have the same member number (the actual contract numbers will be a variation of the suffix - .000/.001/.002). Your resale purchase will probably have it's own membership number unless you made specific arrangements with DVC to track it as an addition to your master contract. It will have to have the same Use Year to do that.

Someone will correct me if I'm wrong - My understanding is that if your resale has a different use year (than your Disney-direct purchase), you will get a different member number.

Can't help with the closing & system question. Hope it all continues to go "amazingly well" for you.

Yes the 2 times we purchased through the timeshare store we were called when it closed - Then I beleive it took a couple of weeks after that(or maybe it took me a couple a weeks to call)for Disney to have all our info in their system.

It will have a different membership # - and maybe different use year - We have 3 different members#s - but when I call MS to make a ressie - after they pull up the 1st membership(after I give them a #) they are able to find our other memberships without my giving them a number.
