Another Refillable Mug Question

Originally, I didn't think I would buy the refillable mugs because we don't drink soda in my family, but now I have some questions and may reconsider. Can you use them for coffee? Orange Juice? By the way, we are staying at the CBR and will probably be buying breakfast most mornings at OPR. So, I'm thinking if I buy the mugs and get my coffee and the kids oj free everyday, it might be worth it. We only drink Tropicana OJ at home, how is the OJ there?
How much are the mugs???
Thank for everyone's help on this one (lots of questions, I know!!).

Soda, coffee, hot chocolate...that's about it. No juices at the refill station. You would have to buy the individual bottles for juice. Same for milk. We buy the mugs more as a souvenier from each resort. At this point, since we have about 15 of the darned things, we buy one on each trip.

Hot Chocolate?!? Is this at all the resort refill stations?? Kids will be thrilled!

Yes, hot chocolate is available at all resorts along with hot tea and coffee, soda, iced tea, lemonaid, and fruit punch.

That's fantastic! I was a little concerned about the kids getting on a "coke-a-cola high". They aren't used to drinking that much soda, so lemonade and fruit punch is a wonderful surprise! Thanks!

Apple juice is now at the beverage refill stations.

Where? Oh, please share what resort. My dd would love it and then I would feel justified in buying another mug.

Can you get the slushies with your mug?

Does anyone know if they have any other sugar free drinks besides diet coke?

Selket, some resorts have frozen coke machines, but not all of them. I believe that diet coke and caffiene free diet coke are the only sugar free options.

I remember getting those in the past, but I haven't seen them in a few years. Anyone know if any of the resorts still have them?

I know that Pop has the frozen cokes, and I believe the contemporary does, but I'm not positive on that one.

i recently read that disney resorts are adding minute maid light lemonade to their "soda" machines for the refillable mugs... that would make me VERY happy!

oh, and half a mug of hot chocolate and half a mug of coffee w/a little milk makes a wonderful mocha drink!

OK. Time for a silly question. Has anyone done a breakeven analysis on the mugs? How many soft drinks or coffees do you need to get to cover the cost?

Inquirying minds want to know. :-)

I have seen the apple juice as well as the Minute Maid light lemonade at Pop Century and the All-Stars. I'm guessing they are being added to all beverage refill centers.

I'm wondering too. We are a family of five, so buying mugs for everyone will be pretty expensive. :)

How many oz are the mugs? How much are the refillable mugs? Are they the same price at each resort? We will be staying 3 days at ASSp and then 7 days at BWV. With 5 kids, I'm defintely going to take advantage of these...even if I have to buy them twice. With coffee, hot choc, apple juice, fruit punch and diet soda...can't go wrong with those thirsty, growing kids!

Aren't these mugs only good at the resorts?
I can see that you might use them for breakfast and maybe later in the day, but if you spend most of your time at the parks, you will still have to buy drinks all day (or carry them with you). Is that right, or am I confused?
Thanks.

For me I can make up the cost of the mug in a day. On a really hot day, which is almost every day since we go in August, I can't tell you how many times I'm filling that mug up when I'm poolside, not to mention morning coffee and then drinks during meals. It is definitely well worth it.
Thanks to the poster that suggested mixing the hot cocoa with the coffee for a mocha drink, that sounds great and I never thought of it!!!!

Unfortunately for us it isn't quite so clear cut. We are on the dinning plan so drinks with lunch and dinner are covered. Our room has coffee maker so morning coffee is covered. We have a fridge in the room and will get milk and juice for the kids. (If that was covered it would be easier to decide.)

Right now I see us using the mugs mostly for the afternoons by the pool. The question is will we use them enough to justify the cost. Also.... us adults might use "alternative" refreshments from the pool side watering hole. :-)

I guess as I write this it seems to be making more sense to pass on the mugs this time around.
