Another Rapunzel question

I was thinking about trying to meet Rapunzel on our next trip in Sept. When the park opens, I thought I could run to get in line then have DH bring the kids over when he can (so they don't get crushed by a mass of people running in for rope drop). Is this ok? Will I get nasty looks from people thinking they are cutting in line?

How bad is rope drop? I have never been there for one. We are usually very laid back but I'd like for DD to meet Rapunzel.

That should work. Last time we tried this line the CM running the line asks each group how many people they have. They keep a count for each session. Just tell them how many total you will have and it won't be a problem.

We did this for Chewbacca at SWW. We got in line an hour before he came out and took turns walking the kids around or going to the bathroom or getting snacks. Everyone at the front of the line was doing similar things.

Many people do this. In fact, in April, it was my 17 y/o dd that did the 'running'. Dh and I went to the Bakery and got stuff to eat since we got there at 7:15 and figured it would be a long wait until the 9:15 show. We got to the line, met up with dd and ate breakfast. We were not the only people doing this...the lady in back of us had a book and looked quite content to be by herself for a bit, reading. We found out that the first 'meet' was going to be at 8:15, not 9:15!!! The poor woman behind us started calling on her cell phone. Seems her dh had taken their kids on some rides and such to kill the two hours before the meet and greet started. This was at about 7:45. At this time, a CM came along and started counting off people. Many solo people gave her a higher number of guests. When the CM got to a certain number, she told the next people in line that they would be first into the next show.
You'll be fine...many people do exactly what you are doing.

that should be ok. We just were there last week, and I went over when the park opened at 8 for EMH, and got in line with our youngest in the stroller. Dh took our other 2 kids to do some rides, then they came around 9. The groups all along the line (we were the 3rd group in line as I stopped to take a few pictures of the castle on my way, hehe) were doing the same thing as well. A very nice castmember was walking along the line, keeping track of how many people, and letting those in the very back know they were in line for the 1015 show etc. There was also a mom and daughter who asked and we let leave/come back after a bathroom emergency. BTW we also did the same thing for Chewbacca too! ;)

Saw Rapunzel 5/11 and we did just that.

My suggestion to you:
Get to RD at least 35-40 mins early. YOU edge up as much as you can to the rope. DH and fam can hang back a bit. YOU book it to the meet and greet line. They can move quickly, too, but don't wait on them!!
