another question! [was Two questions from a WDW newbie: sourdough and buttons?]

I've been to DLR quite a bit over the last few years, and we're leaving in 3 weeks for WDW. While chatting with hubby, I realized I didn't know the answer to two questions.

1. Does WDW have the soup in a sourdough breadbowl anywhere like they serve at DLR?

and

2. Do they give you buttons at the character meals? At DLR, you get buttons when you go to a character meal; the buttons are themed to the restaurant. But I don't remember seeing pictures or reading about them at all at WDW.

Now I'm adding a third question. Can you get normal, plain couscous at Tangierine? All I see is "Tangierine Couscous Salad". DS loooooooves couscous, and he's been set on having it there (along with hummus).

Does anyone know?

I have not seen sourdough bowls at WDW, and even if they had them, they could never be as good as the ones at DL!! When we are at DL we eat them everyday and buy many Mickey ear breads. Too bad CA is so much more expensive to get to than FL We haven't been since 2003 - maybe a trip in 2011 is in order.

Love the sourdough bread bowls at DL. I like visiting the bakery at DCA and watching how they make the.

Columbia Harbor House used to do bread bowls. I also remember getting African stew in a bread bowl at Mara. I know CHH no longer has them. Don't know about Mara. In neither place were they sourdough.

No, you don't get buttons or souvenirs at the character meals. I know they used to do this, I have one that says "I had breakfast with Aladdin."

I can confirm bread bowls at Mara as late as February 2010. Not sourdough, but very delicious!!
