Just received cruise docs yesterday and hope someone can answer this question. We are bringing DD, 14, friend with us. In the cruise docs their is a form for her parents to sign and have notarized giving us permission. Do both of her parents need to sign this form? They are not divorced or anything like that and there isn't much room on the form for 2 signatures.

Thanks.

I would call the 1-800 number on your document to be sure. Or just get both to sign to be safe.

We brought along DS's friend who was 17 and I had both parents sign to be safe and I also had a notarized letter giving us permission to take him on vacation and authorizing us to seek medical care if needed.

I asked about this last week because I am taking my goddaughter and her parents split up a couple of weeks ago. I was concerned that I would have to send to Phoenix for her dad's signature.

I was told only one parent needed to sign, but it MUST be notorized. He also suggested having the custodial parent(s) notorize a letter authorizing medical treatment if neccessary.

Just one parent is needed. We took a friend of our DS 11 last October. His mother signed and of course we had it noterized.
