OH NO!!! It's that pain in the neck woman from MA again! Sorry Nat...you're the smartest person I know (right now)
It just came to my attention, over coffee and the paper this morning, that we can possibly fit in a trip to WDW during August. I know that I could research this question and come up with my own answer, but I'm really in a lazy mood.
What are the dates for the convention, please?? I know that there are rooms opening up as of June 15th and a good deal that we were offered might coincide with your dates....Thanks, again!!

The Convention date's that will open on the 15th are for the Dis Convention in late Nov early Dec.... The Aug convention is not a real convention but an event... It is the Epcot Pin Event. It will be Aug 9th thru Aug 12th.... Hope that helps...
