Another question about park closure

DH and I decided last minute to go to WDW for Christmas. We are concerned about parks closing due to capacity. We are staying at the Dolphin for most of our trip. Because we have work we need to do while on vacation, we are planning on going to the parks in the AM, going back to the room during the day and returning in the evening (to the same park) for priority seating and the candlelight procession. If you have PS at a park restaurant or candlelight procession reservations will you be allowed entry? We already have our park admission tickets. Does anyone have any information regarding this? Thanks and Happy Holidays everyone!

Christmas Day of last year, we had PS for the Crystal Palace. When we arrived at WDW, the MK had reached capacity. I asked what would happen if we didn't get in there by the time of our PS, and I was told if that happens to go to guest relations outside that park and have them call Disney Dining in order to get it credited to our charge account. Thankfully that did not happen. We were able to get into MK a couple hours before our PS! This year I booked out Christmas dinner at a resort instead of a park.

If the park is closed because it reached capacity you won't be allowed in with a PS.

A PS does not guarantee you entrance into a park if it's been closed at capacity. You shouldn't have any problems at Epcot -- the park rarely closes -- but MK is always a risk during Christmas.

Just so you know, they have different levels of closure, not just closure. They start by closing to the park to any new incoming guests, meaning if you've been for the day in the park already and just hopping back, you can go in. They only close it to people that have already been in the park during the day as an extreme last resort.

We were there last year for Christmas week and after. During the week it is a zoo. We followed tour guide Mike and hit the parks early and stayed until noon or after we ate our PS lunch. We went back, swam, and rested until around 6 or so and then hit a park again until closing. The only time we stayed all day was New Years because we had a Fantasmic reservation for early evening and with 5 kids were not staying at the parks until midnight. We did see signs at least 1 every day saying a park was closed as we were leaving. We never had a hard time getting back in. Hope this helps. :wizard:

Thanks everyone! We leave tomorrow and will be at the parks bright and early during our stay!!!
