Another question about in-room sitters

Do they have to stay in the room, or can you give them permission to take them somewhere? We're staying a BWI and the older kids (almost 4 and 5) would probably like going to get pizza and going to the arcade.

Also, has anyone ever gotten 2 sitters. There will be 3 children (not in the same family) and one of them will only be 18 months. Obviously he will need to stay in the room/or will require more supervision. If the sitters are allowed to leave the room with the kids, would 2 sitters be a better option?

I think I've read that they will take your kids out of the room if you request them to and provide $$, not sure if there is an age limit though.

I have gotten 2 sitters once when we had 4 kids from 2 families, 2 of them under one year. They told me I had to have 2, but can't remember if it was due to the ages or the number of kids, probably both....we felt better with the 2 sitters anyway.

Thanks! I just called this morning; and they said we would need 2 sitters if we wanted the children taken out of the room. We could have just used 1 if we wanted them to stay in the room all night. We (3 families) decided to go with 2--4 hours (maybe 5) is a long time to be cramped up in a hotel room:teeth:
