Hi everyone! I am planning my first trip to Disneyland since 1985 - I'm so excited!! :yay: I've been learning so much just perusing these boards and all the helpful tips.

I have a question about the dining plan that I can't seem to find the answer to though, and I'm wondering if someone can help me. I understand the DL dining plan is nothing like the WDW dining plan, I understand about the no change vouchers, etc.

I cut and pasted the info on Goofy's dining plan from the Disney website below. My question is about the items in bold below - the voucher for a Character Breakfast, the voucher for lunch or dinner, and the voucher for Breakfast in the Park. Can you pick any character breakfast? Are these vouchers set dollar amounts (for instance if you want to do a TS dinner - what does your voucher include? entree only? drink? appetizer?) I guess I'm just a little confused on the details of the vouchers that have no dollar amounts listed.

What about the Breakfast in the Park - what locations can you use that at? Thanks for any insight you guys can offer!

The park breakfast is just another dollar-amount voucher.

When i first considered the plan, I thought it meant the Minnie's breakfast, and we were going through Costco and getting a character meal through that, so I thought "oh man, 3 character b'fasts????" and that was part of the reason I didn't go with the plan. Later I found out (through Jade) that it was just a dollar amount.

From the info on disneyland.com, above the list of "entitlements" (to use a WDW term), it states:

For an extra touch of magic, don't miss our Disney Character Dining experiences, available at these locations (priority seating required*) :

*
Goofy's Kitchen
*
Lilo and Stitch Aloha Breakfast
*
Chip 'n Dale Critter Breakfast
*
Minnie and Friends Breakfast

So I'd guess that those are the character b'fasts you could partake in with that particular voucher. So probably not Ariel's.

For us when we were planning, we were only going to Lilo/Stitch, which is about the cheapest character meal (or at the time it was, if it's not now), so that was obviously included. :)

You can use the Breakfast in the Park vouchers at the Tomorrowland Terrace and Riverbelle Terrace in DL and at the Pacific Wharf Cafe in DCA. The vouchers have a max amount on them for what you can spend. You can also use them towards breakfast at the Plaza Inn (the character breakfast).

As for the other vouchers, the Character Breakfast can be use at Goofy's Kitchen, Breakfast with Lilo and Stitch, Storyteller's breakfast, or Plaza Inn (and Ariels, when breakfast is available). The lunch one can be used at Goofy's or Ariels. The dinner one can be use at Goofy's or Ariels.

The snack vouchers can be used at almost all outdoor vendors, we have also used them for drinks or snacks at counter service places as well.

Hopes this helps.

I forgot to mention that the character meal vouchers include tax and tip so you do not pay anything extra. :)

Thanks for your responses! Do you happen to know what the maximum amount on the vouchers is (breakfast, dinner, etc?) Thanks a bunch!

you can also use the lunch or dinner one for any place BB or other places in stead going character meal its 34 or 37

the snack is 6.70 or something like that.

I'm so confused with the dinning plan. I loved WDW's dinning plan. Does it work anything like that?
