Another Princess In Town Day Two - Part I
Id brought a Cinderella doll as a surprise for DD (£6.99 TK Maxx) and left this on the bed. I told a sleepy DD (had to wake her) we were having lunch with her. Both of us very excited.
Got to Brekkie which was in yacth club restaurant 7.35 ish. Quiet and civilised. Same as Cheyenne but fresh fruit salad and individual yoghurts not in bowls) Alot of tables eg those near the windows and booths were reserved for admirals. I did see people with piles of meat and rolls obviously going to make sarnies. I did fill a bottle with water to take to the park. When we left 8.10 ish the place was packed - people were queuing all the way up the stairs to reception. Advice to get to brekkie early spot on.
Same again on Wed although it was in Cape Cod and you were shown to table.
Bus to park Made EMH 8.45 ish. Park still very busy today.
Did Dumbo, carousel, teacups, small world again. Disappointed casey/fairytale boats were shut tue and wed. I didnt think to check Mon as I thought they would be open as they were last June.
Met Cinderella opposite the toilets next to bella notte. Very civilised, not a scrum at all.
Walked past castle stage and saw 1 or 2 people in line for princess meet at 10.45. Ran and got a buzz fp (explained how fp worked to a nice lady with 2 little boys) then back in queue 10.20 ish 4th or 5th in line.
Snack filled lunchbox was a big hit DD loved picking a snack and kept her occupied. New cinderella doll also had same effect. I used time to have a rest and consult map/times.
By time Belle and her prince arrived the queue was LONG well worth getting there early. They took 5 mins with each girl. I was glad DD got to watch the first few going up so she knew what to expect. A little girl in front went up with her baby sister just walking who had a white dress and fairy wings on it was adorable.
They were lovely with DD admired her bracelet and dress. DD wouldnt stand next to the prince....
Rode buzz and got another fp for later. DD looked at the big buzz as you wait to go in and said he is real isnt he? I said yes ...
I changed DD into her Cinderella dress in the toilets and we got to auberge for our princess lunch at 11.50 ish. Went inside to hear a male cast member rudely telling the lady in front to get outside! Literally he shouted at her get outside!! I showed my reservation ticket to the female cast member (wasnt going near the man!) and she said snottily oh your reservation isnt for 15 mins (it was gone 10 to at this point) wait outside. So me and the other lady waited outside only to have other people arrive and go in and not be sent out! So we went in and waited.
These were honestly the only rude employees we met all trip. The waitress was however lovely!
Cinderella arrived and DD had her picture with her (I declined to buy the 25e! official photo). It was the same Cinderella we met that am and she remembered DD which was nice. I asked to be seated near dancefloor but was told no as we were a two.
I put the vouchers on the table and told the waitress I was paying with vouchers. She told me wine was included.
Will do a review in the proper place but meal was really lovely very
high quality. Advice to dine at 12 spot on. We were seated met suzy and perla ordered - got our drinks then a fanfare announced the arrival of princesses. Ariel, Belle and sleeping beauty/prince phillip. Very pleased with selection. They went to the dancefloor and sleeping beauty/phillip danced. We just went over to watch restaurant still virtually empty.
Princesses came over. Ariel v sweet with DD as was Belle (She asked DD to hug her and DD did to my surprise) Both were American. She was different to the Belle we had just seen but DD didnt comment with an older DD doing the castle stage then Auberge straight after may cause questions! Sleeping beauty was French, not very pretty and didnt say much- she was in her blue dress I had warned DD about this. Previously DDs fave she didnt make any impression on her. Ariel is now her fave!!
A little girl did approach Belle whilst with us and Belle kindly sent her away saying she would come to her table.
Only thing I didnt like about our seat was people coming in were walking past and I missed getting a photo of Belle hugging DD. From 12.20ish it was busy.
So we had met everyone and started eating. Worked out well as we could eat without distraction. Also DD spilled pasta sauce on her dress. When the princesses passed they did smile at Anna and she was happy watching.
Left after 1 ½ - didnt have coffee DD was getting restless. Big success will do it next time no hesitation. I actually thought it was good value for the food and interaction cost me £49 for myself and DD on premium hb. (79e for us if paid on the day)
Went to try and find the dragon. Found the lair but not the dragon?! told DD he wasnt in! It was busy and hot and id had a cocktail & 2 glasses of wine and fancied a nap so walked to hotel thinking DD would nap in pram like yesterday. She didnt and twirled around the room whilst I had a little lie down!
