The cast:
Me: 48 yr kid who likes Christmas, Disney, toys and refuses to grow up
DW: 4(mumbles) yr old who hates to fly but loves the Disney experience and will get on "that thing" to get there.
DD: 15 now, 16 when we get there (pray for me). Rockin' Roller Coaster is her favorite ride and there had better not be people in the way when she gets there
The extended cast:
Dad: HATES Flying and will only go kicking and screaming (but used the "f" word, fun, when he went to Disneyland)
Mom: Somebody say travel? LET'S GO!
Brother: Works at the famous evil empire and is ready to go
Sisterinlaw: Sounds fun, let's do it
DN: Is Uncle Mike being silly again?
DN2: doesn't say much, she's just a few months old but smiles for Uncle Mike (no, its not gas)
The trip is in July and the plane tickets are purchased, the reservations are made at the CBR (best resort bar none) and now its time for the nitty gritty.
DW, DD and I went in 2003 and had a great time, even with the 95 hours in the air from Seattle to Dallas and the 30 hours in the air from Dallas to Orlando. We stayed at the CBR, did the commando tour of the world and made it a point to come back. The downsides other than the 2000 hours in the air were the rain storms (and I thought Washington had rain), the heat and humidity, the rain and then the heat. The Disney experience was great and now we're ready.
In all of our travels last time we didn't find a boat trip that I've heard about. Is there one from Epcot to MGM? I've heard about it but can't find anything on a map. That's question one. Question two is what other water routes are there? I know of the one from the MK to FT Wilderness but this time some of us would like to see some of the other resorts and it seems to me that a water trip would be a good way to go.
Any help would be appreciated and there will be more pre-pre-pre trip reports coming.
