Another Pool Hopping Question

They have posted the pool hopping blackout dates for 2004 and next month's February President's Week isn't on the list. Does anyone recall whether pool hopping was permitted that week last year? I'm wondering if they've just made a mistake.

Pam: We were there for Presidents' week last year and I don't recall it being blacked out. I was there for Christmas and New Year's and specifically remember seeing the black out notice. But we haven't done pool hopping since SAB was closed to it so maybe I just missed it.

maybe because it is a day in some of the country - labor day has never been on their list either.

just the ones where they know alot will be there

April 3 - 11, 2004 Easter
May 28 - 31, 2004 Memorial day
June 28 - July 4, 2004 July 4
November 22 - 28, 2004 thanksgiving
December 18, 2004 - January 2, 2005 Christmas

What with SAB closed and the higher points schedule maybe its a non-issue for DVC'ers... I've only been there the week before and it isn't especially crowded...not even toward the end of the week.

I think a lot of northern schools have moved away from making that a week long winter break and are instead preserving the time for snow days.

Thanks for the info. It was very difficult to get a room (of any size at any DVC resort) for that week but something finally came through. Since DVC is so busy I was surprised that pool hopping was permitted. If it's been available in the past I guess it isn't a mistake in the listing. I've never used pool hopping but I've got some guests who I thought might be interested. Sounds like they are planning on doing BB anyway so it may not be an issue.
