Another pool hopping question

In order to pool hop, do you have to be staying on points, or can you just be a DVC member?

We're staying at Pop this weekend (Free Dining!), and I just became a DVC member. My mom is having problems with her knee, and would like to use a hot tub. I thought we might be able to pool hop, since Pop Century doesn't have hot tubs, but I wanted to be sure it was legal before I did it.

You have to be staying on points in a DVC resort.

Thanks for the answer (and the congratulations!) I plan on a lot of little stays, plus a spring break week. This FL resident thing is a GOOD thing!
