Another PIN ? - Oct

I have researched some of the other PIN threadsa and haven't found this specific question asked yet.

We will be going to WDW for the first time in October and want to stay at a deluxe. The PIN I received includes specific dates (eg. 8/21 - 10/8 and 10/23 - 10/29). Ideally we would like to go 10/8 -10/15, but when I try to book this reservation...I only get the discount for 10/8 and the rest of the days room rates are full price (I get this). So...b/c I want to get the 40% discount, I will probably reschedule for the latter part of the month. My question is...Can I book a reservation 10/22 (not included in the promo dates) and pay the higher room rate for just that day? When I try to do this online it says there are no rooms available so I was wondering if the same would hold true if I call. Also, is there any advantage of calling to book your reservation vs booking online? Thanks in Advance for the help.

Personally, even though I constantly check online for reservations, I always call to make them. Your answers are immediate. If for instance though, you think the CM [Cast Member] is not as reliable as you hope, then call back and get another. Not all CM's were created equal!
It has been reported on this board sometimes that CM's can get the confusion ironed out better than the internet site.

You would have to have two reservations. One for the first night, non discounted. And the other with your Pin discount for the remaining days.
