Another Pet Loop Question

I just called Fort Wilderness to ask what the preferred pet loops were and I was told the 500-1000 were the preferred pet loops. I thought the 300 was a preferred pet also, but she said no. Somehow I think she is mistaken.

We are going to be at the fort next week and this trip is camping only and no parks. I want to make sure we get a good loop since we will be spending alot of time there this time.

Can anyone give me the correct info and tell me which preferred pet loop is the best?

The last time we stayed in 300 it was a pet loop. It was a pet loop last June. They have also built a new dog run near the 300 Loop. We stayed in 800 loop (Preferred pet) near the comfort station last June and it was a short walk to the pool and Meadows Trading Post. The reason we didnt stay in the 300 Loop last year was because we couldnt fit into the site. They sent us down to 800..

We were there in April, with our two cats, in the 300 loop. And the sites are a little tight.

As of our Feb. FW stay the pet loops were....

300, 500, 700 and 800 Preferred Pet

900, 1600, 1700, 1800 and 1900 Full Hook-Up

but with the redo at the Fort, I'm not sure today. We will check things out when we are at FW in May/June.

Once the rennovations are complete, the new loop designations will be:

Loop 100 - Preferred
Loop 200 - Preferred
Loop 300 - Preferred Pet
Loop 400 - Premium
Loop 500 - Premium Pet
Loop 600 - Premium
Loop 700 - Premium Pet
Loop 800 - Premium Pet
Loop 900 - Premium Pet
Loop 1000 - Premium
Loop 1100 - Premium
Loop 1200 - Premium Pet
Loop 1300 - Premium Pet
Loop 1400 - Premium
Loop 1500 - Partial
Loop 1600 - Preferred Pet
Loop 1700 - Preferred

It don't matter, you can stay in any loop you want. They don't enforce any of their rules. I've seen it first hand.

Are you sure that the 1700 and 1900 loops won't be pet loops anymore? That seems strange to me since that whole area 1600-1900 were the original pet areas at FW.

I'm just reporting what was originally reported here.

Since so many of the loops are going premium and some of them are Pet loops, and there are so few preferred loops now, I guess they wanted to try to even out the amount of loops Pet and non Pet.
