I made our Pearl Harbor reservation for early in the day because I know parking gets harder as the day goes on. I purposely booked a weekend so traffic from Aulani won't be so bad. But now I am worrying about having to leave so early for parking, checkin, etc.
So here's my question. I will be the driver. What do you need to present at the will call window? Can I give my DSis the printed email and have her get in line while I deal with parking? Or do I have to be the one to check-in, since I made the reservation? Wondering if 6:30 will be early enough to leave Aulani on a weekend if our reservation is 8:00?

Depending on how you drive and what traffic is like, Pearl Harbor is only about 30 minutes from Aulani. I didn't reserve my tickets, just got them when I arrived so I can't help you with that part of your question. At 7am in the morning, you should be ok for parking. If your reservation for the Arizona is at 8am, you should have time to look around a bit before going in to see the video.

Make sure you read the website for what is not allowed in the park. Basically, no bags of any sort(even camera bags).

I think even with a reservation you're supposed to be there an hour prior to your reservation time. I am also planning to go on a weekend due to traffic but am going to probably allow an hour for the drive and parking….so basically I will plan to leave Aulani 2 hours prior to our reservation time. (I have never driven there so don't know what to expect for parking - I have been before but always by tour bus or shuttle.)

30 minutes should be enough time to drive, but I would allow extra time, as a PP has said - it is great to look around and just take it all in. If your tour does not include the headsets, it is well worth the extra $$ to get those and listen at the stations throughout the displays. If you don't finish before your ressie time, you can come back and finish - you have as much time as you need.

Remember not to leave anything in your car - if you are going to lock things up in the trunk, put them there before you arrive. There are also lockers available at the welcome center. You can take a camera in, but not the bag or any kind of purse, etc.

You have to go through the bag check before you get to the ticket window, so I am sure only one person in your party needs to get the tickets. DH did that for us with just his military ID.

At that time of the day, you aren't going to have any issues with parking. Our tour was at 9am and there was plenty of parking.

6:30 should be fine. Won't take you longer than 30 minutes going speed limit on weekends from Aulani. Now if there is a traffic accident or lane closure for construction on the H1 you might have a problem. If the exhibits are open that early you could easily keep occupied till your 8am reservation.
Parking should not be a problem.

Thanks for the replies, everyone. I think we will leave Aulani at 6:15, just to be on the safe side. We have reservations for 8:00 on both a Saturday and a Sunday. We will go on Saturday and if we don't get in or need more time we will have Sunday for a backup. DSis has never been to Pearl Harbor and I want to make sure that she has a chance to do everything she wants to do. I have not been there for many years so my memory of the checkin procedure is foggy.
