Had it all planned for 9 months now to enjoy club offerings.

Now about the only food items on club that we can safely eat gluten free are fruit and soft drinks and wine.

Do you think it's worth paying an additional $65 at check-in (already arranged by manager because of screw-ups by AAA at booking way back in March).

Simply put: DH can't use fitness center because of leg fracture. I'm not sure I'd have the energy to use it after being at the parks all day.
Teens haven't been using the equipment here at the house, but....you never know...

Teens could get on the computer link for free--but they already have that service through their phones and it's a vacation....

We will be arriving early on the 1st day--maybe just club for 1st day so we can grab some beverages and chill before heading into parks?:confused3

My gut says $65 makes for very nice breakfasts at Trattoria...

the manager arranged for you to have club and you still have to pay for it?
i started to think since the manager set it up for you, it would be a free add on for you. (talking about club add on, not the room cost)

i read on another thread where you made contact with universal and will be getting the gluten free dinners.

can't you do the same at where you are at for club?

give them a call and see what they would say.

how many in your group and how many are gluten free?
if your teens can eat anything, it might be a good thing to be at club.
you would get free soft drinks and water bottles, all you want when you are at club.

it's a tough call to make.
i always say if you have 5 in your group, the club is worth the extra add on.
breakfast is always filling and a lot to choose from.
the snacks and sodas and water have no limit to the club guests.

Unfortunately all 4 of us need to be gf. I talked to the front desk clerk who (without even pausing for breath that only the fruit would be gf) Maybe I will talk to the restaurant manager, Brenda again. Maybe they would put out some gf items--thanks for the idea.

i believe that if you contact the manager about gf diet while you are staying in the club level, they would do their best to make it for you.

you have nothing to lose by asking them.
if they do agree to work with you for gf, then definitely stay at club level.
you will come out ahead.

if for some reason they can't do the gf for the food at club level, ask them to give you the club level for free. all you would be using it for would be the drinks/soda/water.
