Just curious as I see 2019 is starting to open up and would like to lock in opening pricing can we book our next cruise now and apply the 10% discount / OBC to the previous reservation while onboard or does it have to be a new booking?

New booking. If the price rises between now & your cruise, you'll have to take the 10% off the higher price. However, you can keep your current ressie until the cruise with the specific stateroom you booked, cancel that ressie on the ship, & get the newly-released stateroom for your new reservation. I did that on my last cruise. So that at least helps you keep the stateroom you want.

Just as a note, if you use a travel agent, they cannot cancel the reservation on board and get that cabin. They could do a new reservation and then when you get home let your agent cancel the other one and try and get that cabin back if you're set on it.

Good point. You have to be booking directly via Disney to do what I described.

Ok good to know I might as well hold off and then we can change ship destination etc I wasn't so keen on booking asap but would have to save the extra
