I was just wondering about the studios at OKW. We have never stayed there before and we read that they sleep four people with two queen beds. I also read that at BWV you can get a cot for a child. We have reservations for a studio at OKW in Sept and now there might be five of us (including a small child). Room size doesn't matter to us, as we are used to there being five of us in a room at POR. But do you think that we would be able to get a cot for our stay, and how would we go about doing that? Thanks

I am not sure if you will be able to get a cot as the studios are only assigned for 4 people.

you can definately fit comfortably--it is a little larger than a regular hotel room, but w/ a micro, small frig., coffee maker and sink.
Have you e-amiled or phoned MS to ask of the availability, without mentioning a fifth person?

Well we already have made the reservations. My younger brother decided now that he would come along to, so we aren't sure if we would fit. Thanks for the good idea though, I will email DVC and see what they say. Thanks again.

No cots are available. At BWV, there are dedicated studios- called Studio Plus- which have a day bed in addition to the 2 queen beds. These can be requested, but are not guaranteed.

There are no cots available at OKW and there are no studios with the day bed.

The only way you can fit 5 people in a DVC studio is with a Studio Plus at the BWV. The studio plus has a very small day bed for a child. And I mean very small. Our son was 6 when we stayed in a studio plus and he barely fit in the daybed. Even with only three of us, it was very crowded in the BWV studio plus.

You mention a small child ... how old? Studios do come with a portacrib if that helps any. We asked for a cot several years ago when we had three adults & were told no cots were available.
