Another Oil Rig Explodes in the Gulf!! :(

This is horrible. Thank God, all the workers are accounted for, but it is on fire and exploded. Please tell me that there will not be another big leak.

I know exactly where this area is, my family owned a camp in area while I was growing up. The bay it is off of was my backyard as a child.

Wow, I can't believe it's happening again! The news report I was reading said that 12 people were accounted for and one was missing. Hopefully that one has been found!

[Posted at 11:43 a.m.] U.S. Coast Guard Petty Officer Bill Colclough tells CNN that all 13 workers involved in the production platform explosion are accounted for, but one person is injured.

[Updated at 12:31 p.m.] All thirteen people aboard a production platform that exploded in the Gulf are accounted for and safely on a commercial vessel according to initial information, the U.S. Coast Guard said in a statement.

I am so relieved to hear that. Thank goodness. I pray that it continues to be so. Can not imagine that poor area going through more trauma.

Ok the news is it is a production platform, that was not producing yet. This platform is on a much smaller scale and has nothing to do with the deepwater dangers that were involved with BP incident. No pumping or drilling were going on.
