We are going to be in Orlando from 28th November to 12th December. I was wondering if US TV stations have Christmas specials, Christmas films, etc. and whether they would be showing them this early in December? We're not planning on watching loads of TV or anything but I'm sure there will be times we want to just chill out in front of the telly and nothing beats a Christmas special! Also, are there kids Christmas TV programmes too? In the UK Christmas specials don't air until Christmas week normally but with you getting Thanksgiving too I wondered if your Christmas season runs a bit longer. Thanks. :santa:

Starting today (I think) one station is already running their Countdown to their "25 days of Christmas" countdown, so, "Yes Virginia, there is a Santa Claus*" special on TV pretty much from Thanksgiving onwards.

* apologies to the NY Sun editorial for stealing the line.

I know Lifetime (which I think is affiliated with ABC and, therefore, Disney) will be starting to show several Christmas movies starting relatively soon. They should definitely be running by the time you're here. :)
