Hi All, I have been lurking for a few weeks now and thought it was time to come and say "hello". :yay:

Thank you all for all the great posts, they are so interesting and full of great advice. :cheer2:

We have been to DLP twice(Oct 03 and Nov 05). we are off on our 3rd trip March 11th - 15th, staying at the Santa Fe. Previously we have stayed at the Val D'Europe and the Pierre et Vacances.

Looking forward to talking to you all more.

Maureen

Hi Maureen, i'd love to hear what your stay at val d'europe was like, is that the elysee one?? I was considering it because it is close to the shopping centre, perhaps you have some tips?!:hippie:

Hi Mulan
We chose elysee from a search engine and had no idea whereabouts it was or even if it was near the Parks. I am glad we did choose it though. It is right across the street from the shopping centre, which is huge. The supermarket is just great and reasonably priced. We would stock up on drinks and snacks before we went to the parks. The restaurants are very reasonable and lovely. We ate in the Hotel restaurant once, it was lovely and great and again very reasonable. The rooms are basic, I would say like the Travel inn/lodge rooms. Has what you need to get a sleep and a wash. The hotel is very clean and has a games room with pinball machines for the kids, also has a kids corner with some toys. We always hire a car, they have underground parking which you pay for, can't remember how much per day. My sil stayed there in 2005 and they had a car, but never used to go to the parks, they took the shuttle bus from the bus station.
We wanted to stay there on our second visit, but couldn't get booked in, so stayed at the Pierre et Vacance down the road. We were going to stay at the Elysee again this year, but got a good deal on the Santa Fe, we had to try the onsite hotels instead.

Hope that has helped you a little bit. I would definately reccomend it.
