If she is infact crazy, then she possibly couldn't have helped herself.
BUT SHE SHOULD BE TREATED AND PUNISHED.

She could do it again.

she needs to go to a prison for the criminally insane.

Of course she is insane, no one in their right mind commits murder. I think all murderers are mentally unstable. Murder isn't something "sane" people do.

They, of course, should be held accountable, but putting them with the general population of a state pen doesn't help anyonoe and will probably just result in further violence.

Insane criminals need to be medicated and treated in prisons for the criminally insane.

Actually,quite a lot of murderers have no mental illness whatsoever- that's where a lot of the whole pre-meditated cases come into play. Lack of conscience, maybe, but not insane.

IMO, I think the insanity plea is relevant in some cases, and this is one of them. I think she should be institutionalized, and not sent to prison, because prisons do not treat mentally ill people. Perhaps if she had been getting proper care and treatment, this whole tragedy could have been avoided.
