Neer used this before, but it sounds like a real time saver. We are not on the dining plan. When placing the order, do you pay with the ap or in person when picking up the food? If paying with the ap, is it the cc you have on file with MDE or do you need to specify a card for online food orders?

You pay on the app.
You enter the CC you want. You can use a different CC each time if you wanted. Or you can use the one on file.

I know a lot of people like mobile ordering but we plan on paying cash. Do they still take cash orders, or is it going to be a problem or just slower.

To use mobile ordering, you cannot pay with cash. If you want to pay with cash, you will need to just wait in line to order/pay.

The places with mobile ordering are set up so you pay when you place your order and then when the app tells you that your food is ready, you just go up to the window/line/bay that indicates mobile ordering and get your tray and go. This just lets you bypass the line of people that still have to go through line to order/pay.

I hate mobile ordering anywhere, I dont mind waiting in line and seeing what people are ordering and what it looks like for real. Do they still have all the great topping stations at Pecos Bills and Restaurantsauras.

Last time we were there, they still had the toppings bar.
To each their own, but I love the mobile ordering and missing the long chaotic lines. Don't miss them a bit.

When you mobile order, does it ask you for a time that you want to the food ready, with that approach you could conceivable order hours ahead of time. Or, do you place your order and it's prepared at time of order and ready for you a few minutes later? If it's the later, I'm failing to see the real advantage since you've have to be in the vicinity of the restaurant to order your food anyway so that you're around to pick it up, which to me is no different than just getting in a line.

Its really simple. Order the food anytime that morning. When you are getting close to the restaurant, press the "I'm here" button (or do it when you get there) and they will prepare your food. You will get a text that your food is ready and go to the pickup window to get your food. For us, it has worked very slick.

OOooh look at you, your trip is so soon! Have fun.

Try the mobile ordering once. You may never go back to the "old school".
