Yes, another mil vent. First of all, I love my mil and we have a great relationship.
Last week I had to go in for a second mammogram and she came and sat with my son. Very grateful for that. What kind of makes me upset is that my sister had called for information on our cousins funeral. She knew I was going for my second mammogram, but my mil felt the need to tell her "she isn't home, she had to go have a second mammogram." Then my brother called, I hadn't even told him I had a first mammogram let alone a second. I like to keep medical stuff private unless there really is something to worry about. She told him the same thing. So now he was freaking out and asking his wife if she knew if something was wrong with me and why I would be getting a second mg.
Fast forward to today, I had a dr. appointment to go over all of the tests I had recently. She once again sat with my ds. My sis called and she tells her "she's at the dr. getting the results of all of her tests" I understand she has to take a message, but couldn't she juts say "She's at the dr. I'll tell her that you called."
DH said I shouldn't tell her what I'm going in for and just tell her it's a routine dr. appt. I'm beginning to think he's right. Oh and she's been telling everyone in her church my, dh and both ds medical conditions. Not that we really have many. I just feel like it's our business and if we share it with her it should stay with her. Am I wrong?
