Another ME ?

Think of Disney's Magical Express in 2 stages, arrival at MCO and going home.

In terms of arrival at MCO, it doesn't matter which airline you take. REPEAT: It doesn't matter which airline you take. As long as your DME tags are on your checked bags, those bags will be pulled "behind the scenes" at MCO before they reach the baggage claim carousel, and will be shipped separately to your resort where they will "magically appear" in your room. Also, EVERYONE, REGARDLESS OF AIRLINE, gets a free bus ride to their resort, carrying only their carry-ons.

It is only on your return flight back home that airlines matter. If you are flying on American, Delta/Song, Continental, or United/Ted, you get an extra benefit. If you're using one of those airlines, you get to actually check in for your flight at your resort rather than at the airport. That means that at your hotel you can get your boarding passes AND check your luggage; in that case, after you check in your luggage at your resort you won't see it again until you arrive at your home airport's baggage claim carousel. If you're not flying one of those airlines, no problem! You just load the luggage onto your DME bus (the driver will do it for you), take the free ride back to MCO, and check in as you would any other time.

It's not at all complicated.

It's been posted, but not confirmed, that Jet Blue and NW now participate in the resort checkin part of ME.

If you're flying one of those airlines ask in the checkin desk at your resort.

Eric, is there a website for ME? I have tried the search through Disney.com and can't seem to find anything. I thought I had gone to a site in the past to read all the "fine print". Thanks!

Same question here, if someone could post a link to the current 'participating airlines' for resort check in, we could just keep checking there for new airlines. Many people are flying Southwest, and I will probably be flying Alaska. We wouldn't have to keep searching like this on the DIS if we knew how to get the info straight from Disney.
I don't know why it's been so hard to find!
The idea of checking in at the resort instead of the airport may make a difference in what airline I choose.
Also, Southwest and Alaska partner with Disney in promotions all the time, that's why I think they may join the party here.

Southwest is not expected to be added to the resort checkin part of ME anytime soon.

OK, I just found my own information.
You're right Southwest is not currently participating.
I just called 800-WDW-info and they didn't know anything about it, and sent me to CRO. They said that this information is not updated on any Disney websites. They rattled off a bunch of airlines, and unfortunatly I had a emergency call right then (I'm on duty (firefighter)) so I wasn't able to write them all down, but there have been more added. Fortunately for me Alaska is one of them, they are the only airline to offer direct flights from Seattle to Orlando.
I pointed out how this information is in demand, and people are looking for an up to date list. The CM said she would pass on the request.
Maybe they need more people like us to let them know that this info should be on the WDW website.
