If you fly int MCO on a standby flight can you still use the ME to get to DW, I wanted to get a town car but might not know flight times. My mother and her 3 sisters are flying this way, as we have a relative who works for a airline that is arranging their flight. I would rather her make a sure plan for a flight but right now this seems to be the plan. Thanks for any info.

My guess is that it won't be a problem. I don't believe the DME tags are tied to a specific airline, just to your resort and reservation.

The airline's tags will route the bags to the plane and to MCO.

I'm sure countless people miss flights or bumped to others. DME would have to be able to accept those passengers, otherwise they would end up angering more than a few passengers.

BTW, you'll still need to register them for DME. Be sure to pick the correct airport, airline and arrival date. Try to pick a flight that arrives sometime around when you THINK they will be there.

iteachlit, thanks for the info, talk about a small world we were in your area last year for vacation, we were @ Lake Raystown camping and took the kids over to Lakemont Park for their Wed. special, makes the kids appreciate Disney more, wanted to do to Kennywood but a little to far for a day trip.

DME is the PERFECT situation for standby passengers. DME only requires reservations for two reasons. One their contract with MCO requires it and 2), to give them a rough idea of passenger load for that day, so they can schedule personnel and buses accordingly.

Tag your bags at your home airport. Then whatever flight THEY arrive on, they will be picked up and delivered to your resort. The only info on the tags is your name and your resort. The system does not care WHAT plane they arrived on and does not care if you are on that same plane.

Once you arrive, just proceed to the DME area. They will provide you transportation to you Disney resort no matter when you arrive, no matter how you arrived as long as you have a DME reservation and a Disney resort reservation.

The worst case scenario is that it will be 3am and there is a sign at the desk instructing you to call a phone number. Someone on that phone line will get transportation for you. Most likely a taxi.

Raystown is very nice, but Lakemont Park? Not so much. :rotfl2:

If you ever visit this area again, check out DelGrosso's Amusement Park in Tipton, just north of Altoona. It is not as big as Lakemont, but it has newer (and probably more) rides, a great miniature golf course, five water slides and some of the best amusement park food you will ever eat.

We knew Lakemont was not much thought we would get tot ride Leap the Dips but not real sure about the saftey of the ride and thought the line was to long with only 1 cart in use
We also know of DelGrosso's my cousin who lives in Ebensburg would always take his family there and liked it. We just went to Lakemont to get the kids out for the day they were just glad to get a cell phone signal because were we were near Paxton there was no cell or tv signal, made a great week for the parents not the kids.
