Another MB question

I'm hoping someone here can answer this as it is a 40 minute wait to speak to IT right now. Our bands are all customized and ready to ship soon. However somehow my DS's PAP has been linked to DH now. Will DS still get a customized band and will his pass be linked to it when they get the problem fixed? Or is he going to be stuck with a gray one at check in? We are 29 days from arrival but have called four times concerning this and nothing seems to get corrected. Also we cannot make any FP+ selections because it states that he doesn't have a valid admission ticket. Will any selections we make after these issues are resolved automatically link to our bands even though we already have them here at home?
 
You do not need tickets to get Magic Bands. You do need them for FP+, but MBs simply require (for now) a WDW resort stay.

You do need to speak to IT about the assignment of the AP. Once they fix that, your son's band should work for admission to the parks. Nothing is stored on the bands, they simply access MDE information. As soon as his profile/ticket is right he should be all set.

Thank you so much for replying. We have been so worried about this. We have talked with several CMs at IT and they all promise to fix it but so far nothing has been resolved. How hard can it be to just link the AP back to our DS where it originally was? This has been such a nightmare. We were afraid once the bands were shipped it would be too late to try to get our FP+ selections back. Thanks again MouseMomx2 :)

My advice would be to keep calling back until you get someone who can help you. There are some fantastic CMs in IT, but they are matched (at least) by some who seemingly have no idea what they are talking about.

Have you been calling (407) 939-7765 (press #2 for the IT desk)? I have found the CMs at that number to be very helpful.

Yes we have called that number a few times and another number that someone on the theme parks board posted as well. Each CM seems helpful and promises to get right on it but then we don't hear anything else and nothing changes on our MDE account. It's so frustrating. We will keep calling I guess. It seems like all of out time is spent waiting on the phone to them these days. Thanks again.
 
UPDATE: Talked to Cheryl at IT and she said the problem would be fixed within a couple of hours. That was at 9:30 this morning. It is now 6:30 pm here in Ohio and nothing has changed. DS still has no ticket linked to his profile and DH still has two. :confused3 I just don't understand this but I do feel better knowing that it can still be added to his MB when it is fixed. Thank you again MouseMomx2!
 
It took 4 days or so to get my husband's fixed and they emailed me when it was done. They also suggested that I go ahead and make FP+ selections for me since they could be copied to my husband once his pass was linked.

Thanks so much for that info. One of the CM told us we would have to wait if we wanted DS to be included on the FP. So glad to know that's not the case after all.
 
I feel your pain...I had a similar issue with the MBs and the MDE website. It took 4 calls to member services before I got it fixed. Finally was corrected today after being on phone for over two hours. The CM was very good. She would put me on hold then call and speak with IT people and she finally got everything corrected.

I recommend calling DVC MS and let them help you rectify this. Again I stayed on the phone with them so it didn't get forgotten about.
