Another May crowds/Star Wars Weekend question

Okay, our goal: to be in WDW in May to attend at least 1 Star Wars weekend, but when the crowds will be their lightest. Someone mentioned that last year, SW weekends began on May 15th and went through mid-June...I seem to recall they were every weekend in May? Any confirmations one way or the other? Also, when do the crowds start getting bigger? MOther's Day weekend? I was looking at May 5 through 12...any opinions?

I was there over Memorial Day weekend this past May and I didn't think the crowds were thta bad at all. I was at the gate at opening and the lines were not backed up at all. No problems getting anyhting we wanted to do accomplished.

WOW! I would have thought Memorial Day weekend would've been one of the most crowded ones of the month!

Yes, we were there over Memorial Day as well for SW weekends and it was not too bad. MGM was busy, of course, especially around the areas where characters were and special events like the trivia contest, but nothing extreme. It was very hot, however and the characters couldn't stay out too long so we missed some here and there but they spread them around the park pretty well. We had an early dinner at H&V after a big breakfast and it was not crowded in there at all.

Yes, SWW were every weekend for 5 or 6 consecutive weekends from mid-May to mid-June. I would guess May is better than June and the earlier the better, especially to avoid the heat!
