Well, this Special Mom, turned around and told her if she didn’t keep her feet off the back of her seat she might just slap her

PATTY OMG! NOSHE DIDNT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!She best thank her lucky stars that it were not me or my kids, because there is no excuse for threatening to harm a child!!!!!!!!! I would of had to of made a ruckus about that!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Im ticked about this!!!!!!!!!!!GRRRRRRRRRRRR

While sitting around I saw Amanda and her family, went down and talked to them for a bit, before moving back to our area. We were down by the pier area, where you can get the kayaks and stuff. Amanda came down and got her a kayak. She and her daughter made it out in to the deep. Picture????

DONT YOU DARE LADY!!!!!!!!!!!! ;-p whatever you want i get it to you!hahaa

Spectro is #1I think it is a little much to expect people to sit in the back of theater to ensure they are not bothered with getting their seat backed kicked. I don't agree with how she went about telling your little one to stop putting her feet on the back of her chair it was unacceptable. Was it possible for [b said:
you[/b] to move to the front row to ensure your child would not bother others if she kept forgetting about not putting her feet up?

Kids will act like kids parents need to act like parents. :furious:
I also think it is a little much to expect the front row of thw WDT to accomodate every child in the theater. That is what kids do. They kick the backs of the seats in front of them. Do we, as parents condone it? No. Do we teach the kids it is impolite? Yes. Will they do it anyway on accident? YEP. Is it annoying? YEP. But one could always turn around politely, address the adult and let them know that it is a nusaince. To tell a 5 yr old child who knows you from Joe that you will slap them if they dont stop? I think not! I think, were this one of my children, I could not have been as classy as Patty to ignore it.

Knowing the family from the August Repo cruise -- I don't think the story is embleshed -- Dom is one of the sweetest kids I have ever met -- and my sister & I really wish you could make it to the BBQ on 7/2.

Now - if you want to talk about annoying chair kicking -- I got stuck in that situation - 2.5 hours of kicking on an airplane by little "Sammy" -- trust me I aksed politely for the kid to stop -- the mother couldn't care less and never stopped it. She was more worried where her Au Pair was sitting then her kids !

The funniest thing is we ran into the family at AK -- soon as I heard someone call for little "Sammy" I ran :rotfl:

I know. When I first read this I was thinking man, she better be glad I wasn't sitting near and heard that. Some DIS'ers would be thinking who's that mean lady (me) if I had of been. LOL Cause there would have been a ruckus. The nerve!

Thanks for posting your trip report LadyPoo. I know we enjoyed meeting you at the Rad and the times we saw you on the ship. I am so sorry you had a bad experience in the theater with that nasty woman. I am sorry, I can threaten my kids with their life (haha) if they misbehave, but no way from a stranger.

I too feel like I missed out a lot on this cruise, people that I thought for sure I would meet and never did, etc. (Bibbidy, I don't think I ever did actually meet you on the ship) I do want to do it again, there is just something fun about planning for a trip and getting to talk about it with all your DIS friends.

LAWD HAVE MERCY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Stay away from the boards for awhile and look what ya miss.... Dang.

Thanks for all the positive comments and the negative ones too. LOL... I hope the Special Family had as good as time as we did.,
But I didnt see them at the preview to the Farewell party.

We do try our best to make her behave. She is a little Princess ya know!!!!!!!

I could never have been polite to anyone threatening my child! There would have been a "scene" if it were me. Problem is some people sit there and build up steam, hoping the kicking will go away and when it doesnt they eventually explode. Best bet is to let the parent behind you know in a polite way earlier rather than later.

Sorry I cant blame the seats or the guests sitting in front or the weather...if its my kids then its my responsibility.

My kids have been going to the cinema since the age of 3. The youngest always sits next to me, that way I am able to notice their movements. First kick of the seat in front gets a warning, second kick to the seat in front means they get to sit with their legs crossed on the seat for the rest of the movie.
