Another Marriage Post

Antonia, this is a very nice thread. Thank you for starting it. :)

Lucky #13 for us last week!

He proposed five days after we met, and all our friends laid odds on how quickly the engagement would last.

I definitely won that one, in a million different ways.

Has it been all wine and roses? Of course not. But the vow we made before God and the love we know is there, even when we are crazy mad at each other, makes even the tough times not so bad.

Happily married here, too. I met dh when I was 15 and a soph. in high school...he was a college sophomore. We started dating when I was 17. He was my prom date. We got married after I graduated form high school. A year later we bought a house and the a couple of months after that I was pregnant. We have a wonderful boy who will seven next week and a beautiful 16 months old daughter. We are best friends. I call him everyday at work and if for some reason I don't then he is disappointed. We talk, hug, kiss, snuggle, we compromise. Last week, he surprised me with breakfast and brought it to me while in bed---yep he cooked and he didn't forget the Red Bull. And he's a GREAT dad. I could not ask for more.

Our friends made bets against us too! Yep, we proved them wrong!

My DW and I are going on 15 years. We met in grad school and were friends for 3 years both dating other people. Then we found each other when those relationships didnt work out and now are each others best friends.

I have a small picture in our house that says, "The best thing a Father can do for his children is love their mother". That's what I try to do because she is the best wife!

Antonia wow give yourself a pat on the back.... I have been with my DH for 21 years in October (celebrated 20 year anniversary in WDW last year)... Been married for 15 of them & i must say all our families think we are sickly sweet also :p but i don`t care i love him the same now as i did back then, after 2 kids, (stretch marks) & everything else,i truly believe he loves me the same as i love him... If thats not sickening... What is???:p :p :p

20 years here -- met in 8th grade, started dating after high school. We are total opposites, DH always says we balance each other out. It's funny to see which kids have my genes and which has his. He is a perfectionist, I"m more the free spirit. He is reserved, I'll be the first one to jump in on a conversation or holler about some injustice of the world.

My husband and I were high school sweethearts as well, even though we did go to different schools. In November we will be celebrating 15 years together and our 6 year wedding anniversary! We got married on Thanksgiving weekend, as we started dating on Thanksgiving. He is my best friend and I don't know what I would do with out him. We have so much fun together. In October we are taking our first week long vacation alone. The longest we have been away alone is 3 nights. We always go on family vacations, so we are really excited about our trip! It's nice to see so many posts about happy marriages, it doesn't seem like there are very many these days.

Mu husband is the greatest guy in the whole world. I feel every day, that I am the luckiest person on earth. He is brilliant, generous, opinionated (in a good way. . .), principled, all sorts of great things.

We've been together for 5 years (I had been married before), and every day we are together is wonderful. He's the love of my life.

DH is my gift from God. We have be married for 13 years, and every day he makes me feel special. He is a wonderful father, and he truly enjoys his family. I only hope I give back to him just as much as he gives me.

everybody said we were too young and it would never last..... I guess we proved them wrong.

That's what people said about us,too. I was just barely 20 when we got married and DH was 23. :)

People thought we were crazy...I guess we were. They said we were NUTS for buying a house 2 1/2 years later, too, but I say..Ppppbbbth on you, people. :p
